"My Happy Place" at Lake Barkley is a great opportunity to getaway with that special someone for a little rest and relaxation. Enjoy the lake views, hot tub, or the quite time together sitting on the deck. You could also cook that romantic meal that you have been meaning to prepare. While at "My Happy Place" you can also explore all the great things to do in the LBL area; hiking, boating, golfing, and great restaurants. Don't miss your opportunity to plan some quality time together.

Please be aware this is a 600 square feet, one bedroom cottage and it is connected to a second unit that has a separate entrance. The hot tub is exclusively used by guests in "My Happy Place."

NO BOAT DOCK at this home. (Mineral Mound State Park boat ramp and Kuttawa Marina are close.)

This is a perfect place for couples to spend together at the lake. It was clean and exactly as described in the listing. The hot tub was great as we spent a lot of time in there star watching! The place had everything we needed. It has a lake view. You do have to travel to be on a beach or access the lake. There was an issue with Direct TV, and unfortunately it wasn’t resolved during our trip.

The property was perfect for two people. It was a last minute anniversary get away. After our anniversary dinner at Patti's, we were going to get in the hot tub. When we went to get in, it was cold. The next day, I messaged the owner to realize we had to turn the breaker on. As a renter, that should have been done prior to our arrival. Other than the hot tub, the property was nice and overlooking Lake Barkley.

This is a beautiful peaceful location. The hot tub was a real treat. Everything was clean. Instructions were clear, check in and out was easy. There is plenty to do in the area. Lots of options! Highly recommend for a quiet getaway for two.

This property was located in a beautiful subdivision! The outside of the property was gorgeous, as well with a terrific view of Lake Barkley. Perfect for two people. However - the Hot Tub was literally falling apart- outer panels were lying on the deck. Inside, the kitchen set up was a great use of small space (but plenty for two people). The window blinds needed to be replaced in the tv area & especially the bedroom, where the neighboring property is actually on the same level (privacy issue). There were slats missing in both windows.The washer & dryer, altho we were able to make use of them, were missing knobs and proved somewhat difficult to figure out how to use. The property was clean, altho there was a rather large stain on the chaise (inside) that really needs attention. Renters shld be aware that there are stairs leading up to this property and “rock steps” leading to the stairs. The birds really love this place - there was feces everywhere ! Not an easy problem to take care of, for sure but one that kept us from using the deck. Having said all of this - the “ bungalow” was very cozy and we did enjoy our stay there.
