Dr. Vic is the man

  • 5 of 5

I was very happy with my stay in Park City Utah. I was worried they were going to switch me rooms but doctor Vick called the front desk and made it happen where I did not have to switch rooms. Place was awesome and nothing like Park City powder days.

Great week at the Miner's Club - The Canyons, Park City, Utah

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a fantastic week at the Miner's Club during the holiday week. First, it is a great location - We rented skis, boots and helmets in the Wyndham next door. There is a gondola right next to the Wyndham which goes up to the base of the Canyons ski area and then at the end of each day you leave your skis right next to the gondola and the rental place takes care of them - so the whole process is easy and worry-free. The skiing at the Canyons is great, with lots of intermediate and expert trails (and a few beginner trails mid-mountain). You can also get to the Park City ski area by a combination of skiing and chairlifts. We rented a car (4wd recommended) but there is good public transportation into town (about a 5 minute walk away) and there is also Uber and taxi/vans easily available - we used Uber-ski to get back from Park City one afternoon. There are a few very good restaurants at the base of the Canyons and the town of Park City, about a 5 minute ride away is great, with a lot of shops and great restaurants.

Next, the unit was very spacious and perfect for a large family. Our unit had 4 good sized bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms and very good views. The kitchen/living room/dining area was very comfortable with a gas fireplace (also one in the master bedroom). The kitchen is well supplied with pots/pans/dishes etc, so it's very easy to stay in and cook. Our unit was recently updated with new carpet, TVs, etc, which made it very comfortable to stay in for the evening.

The building overall is nice, with a "western" feel. It has an outdoor pool and hot-tub and a typical hotel type gym. It also has a playroom with foosball and ping-pong. The building staff is very friendly, helpful and responsive.

Overall, I would highly recommend staying at the Miner's Club both for the comfort of the units and it's location.

Week after Christmas with 2 families

  • 4 of 5

Pros: Dr. Gupta was a pleasure to work with. Very professional. The staff at the Miner's Club is also quite professional. We even tipped the front desk on the way out because they were so accommodating. We loved the game area, lobby, and "cafe". The "cafe" had a bartender, couches, board games, and a large fireplace. We didn't try the food and I did not see anyone eating. We walked over to the Waldorf a couple times for drinks and more upscale food. Very easy. The unit we stayed in was a bit different than the pictures but the quality was exactly as pictured. We had two families there and found the unit to have plenty of space. The master suite is quite a bit larger than the other two rooms so one couple kind of got the short end of the stick. The master suite also has a cozy fireplace. This is a great location for skiing at the Canyons. You get a ski locker (included) and walk about 100 steps to the Frostwood Gondola. At the end of the day you can ski all the way down. Aloha is the rental company located inside the Wyndham (right next to Miners Club) and they did a great job. My kids loved the heated pool.

Cons: It is a bit of a hike to the Canyons free bus stop so if you have small children (we do) plan on using uber or renting a car to get into town. The unit was nice and well-kept but I think it needs some updating. The dining table was scratched and the TVs are really small. You only have one small couch and two small chairs in the main room so lounging after a full day of skiing is a little tight with two families.

I am really picky about lodging accommodations and I would stay here again- especially if the resort updates the units a bit with nice couches like they had in the lobby and the cafe!

Our New Year's ski trip was fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 6 had such a memorable and fun time together staying at Miners Club during the holidays. We are truly sorry the vacation is over. Dr. Vic was incredibly helpful and attentive to my requests for our lodging and I couldn't be happier with our accommodations. We had more than enough space to spread out, relax, and enjoy meals in our condo, and the proximity to the gondola made it more than easy to get to the base of the mountain. We absolutely did not need to rent a car, and between the gondola and shuttle into town, everyone in our party was able to do whatever they wanted to do, whenever they wanted. The condo itself was very comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped to prepare meals of all types. The staff at the Miners Club were all very professional and kind, and able to assist with our many different requests. I highly recommend this location for anyone looking for great skiing, friendly people, and great access to shopping and food. I will most definitely plan another trip to Miners Club, and Dr. Vic will be the first person I contact.

Loved the Canyons - Miner's Club condos need some refurbishment!

  • 3 of 5

Knowing that we were booking late for the holiday break, our rental choices were limited, and we were aware that we were paying premium.

Prior to sending our deposit, my husband spoke directly with the owner to request the 3 bedroom, single-story (as opposed to the loft unit) because my handicapped step-father would be joining us. We also asked about the "limited" construction we had heard was under way at Miners Club. This was our first time to Park City, and my husbands 50th birthday trip, and for the price we were paying, we wanted to know as much as possible about what we were getting.

After staying here, we wish we would have looked into more properties.

Upon arrival and unloading, we found ourselves with a three bedroom LOFT unit, and needed to switch. While the staff was nice and accommodating (thank you, Aaron), the only single story, 3 bedroom they had, looked directly out on the construction of a new Wyndham - very close, and directly across from all the units facing the pool. The crews were working every day, the garage was closed for an entire day, so we couldn't leave in our own car, and when the garage was open, we were driving through loud, active construction.

Our impression is that this intimate, craftsman style, time share property, which at one time would have been a great fit for us, has seen better days. If you're looking at the Canyons area,it's a fine location (we were glad we had a car to explore outside the Canyons) a short walk to the Waldorf gondola for skiing was convenient, as was the shuttle, and friendly shuttle driver, who would drop us at either the main lift area, or at the gondola, if we were feeling a bit lazy!

It's a kid-riendly hotel, but the halls are dark, and the carpet had some obvious stains and scratches in the walls -- with just a little repair, it could feel much cleaner.

The elevator kept breaking down, and was out for most of one day.

Our second-floor unit, which was convenient for lobby-level entry, had a broken toilet seat, and shower pull which, when we reported to facilities, was taken care of in a timely fashion. However, the tile in the entry was quite uneven and people kept tripping, there was a rip in the leather chair, a stain on the couch, and lighting is limited.

While we did enjoy our time and will return to Park City, we were simply not happy with our condo choice. Owners need to know and support some renovating and brightening of these units, or come down in their pricing!

Wonderful Stay at the Miners Club, Canyons Resort, Park City, Utah

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at the Miners Club during Christmas week and had a fantastic stay. The location is ideal, right next to the gondola which brings you to the base of the Canyons Resort (& the heated orange bubble chairlift). It was so convenient! The mountain was perfect with terrain for every level. The Miners Club was very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped and beautiful! The pictures were accurate. The unit was clean. Dr. Vic, the owner is a pleasure to deal with. This is our second rental through him and he is very professional and honest! I look forward to renting from Dr. Vic in the future and have recommended him to friends. The Canyons is a great location to stay but if you go to Park City definitely spend a day skiing Park City Mountain and Deer Valley also. They are great mountains and very close to the Canyons.
