Cozy and charming cabin-style garage apartment is perfect for a peaceful getaway. Set on a 15-acre farm in South Asheville, it offers a unique experience with its blend of historic charm and modern amenities. The property is conveniently located between downtown Asheville and Hendersonville, providing easy access to both urban attractions and the tranquility of nature.

The apartment, built in 1930, has been updated to include modern comforts while retaining its historic character. Guests can enjoy beautiful sunrises and mountain views from the cottage, gather in the spacious sunroom, or relax by the private outdoor fireplace in the evenings. Ideal spot for nature enthusiasts, with opportunities for hiking, biking, Blue Ridge Parkway and numerous state parks nearby. Bordered by Cane Creek where trout fishing is in full swing. All necessary amenities and airport within reach. All pets must be on the reservation and pay the pet fee.

For larger groups, there's also an option to book additional space at May Acres Coop.

This was a great location for our trip, and it is pet-friendly. We were participating in a dog agility trial at the WNC Agricultural Center - it was a perfect location for us, about a 7-minute drive. There were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The accommodations were lovely and comfortable. The area was quiet and a great place to unwind after all the energy at the dog trial! The only downside to the weekend was the wet weather, of course, nothing anyone had control over. We would have loved to explore the area a bit more. We would definitely stay there again.

The perfect getaway!

We absolutely loved our time at May Acres Cottage. It was the perfect location for us to explore the parkway, visit friends in Asheville and a quick trip away to a family wedding! The cottage was spotless and was equipped with everything We could have needed. Julie and Tim were wonderful hosts!

My wife and I stayed at May Acres Cottage with our small dogs, and it suited us in every way. The owners thoughtfully provided every little detail to make our stay very pleasant. The home itself is charming and comfortable and it is set in a beautiful location. The owners' house is on the opposite side of the gravel drive, so we got to know them, which was an enjoyable experience in itself. We also got to know the donkey that inhabits the adjacent meadow. Grocery shopping in Fletcher is a very short drive away. We especially enjoyed having our meals in the sun porch that looks out the back of the home at the wooded hilltop. The table there seats 6 spaciously so we could have our daughter's family over for dinner. We had all the peace and quiet we needed at May Acres, but it is very convenient to many, many activities in the greater Asheville area. We would definitely return.
