Why Marc and Jenniffer chose Mount Hood
We chose to our home in the Hood River Valley for a few reasons. Hood River offers an endless supply of recreational opportunities. No where else on earth can you find world class windsurfing and summer skiing just a few miles away. Combine that with the view of Mt. Hood from a lush green setting in horse country, with a beautiful canal side hiking trail, and it has everything!
What makes this House unique
The big Mt. Hood view is just the beginning. Enjoy the large lawn, deck/patio, and adjacent hiking trail. See our website for more details!

Wonderful view, cozy accomodations!
As always a wonderful stay. Beautiful view of Mt Hood and just a relaxing place for us. Thanks again!
Great family vacation spot
We loved the house. Toys for the kids to play with, a zip line, good spot for the kids to ride bikes in the driveway and we took advantage of the trail that you can take from the backyard. The house was also clean and had necessary supplies. Thank you!
Amazing views with good access to mt hood
The house was great for us and the three kids. The view of mount hood is amazing. We had a 25 minute drive to skiing and 15 minutes to hood river (although only 5 to Parkdale, which is a cute tiny town). Owners were always available and helpful. We’ll look to stay here again.
My family and I loved MHVL. It is aptly named (on a clear day). Great location! Amazing view!
It was our first Oregon Christmas and Mother Nature delivered a winter wonderland. The house was warm (and especially cozy with the wood burning stoves going). We enjoyed walks along the canal trail (located five minutes up the slope behind the house), the Mt Hood Railroad, a trip to historic Timberline Lodge, a visit to the old power station at White River falls south of The Dalles, and shopping and dining in Hood River. It was one of the most relaxed holidays, thanks to a well-equipped house, beautiful surroundings, and plenty of nearby activities. I’d love to return with our grandkids so they can enjoy the large playroom downstairs, and all the outdoor adventures in the Gorge.
House would work well for about any size group. The lawn is expansive and well kept. Location is handy for everything, HR, parkdale, ski venues and hiking.
We very much enjoyed our stay, comfortable and clean and spacious for 3 couples, would have worked with kids too. There was shampoo, but no conditioner :-(. And some newer pans for cooking would be a simple and cheap upgrade as well. Overall, we had as awesome weekend and this VRBO was easy.
Mt. Hood - Hood River area. Near Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, Mt. Hood National Forest, Mt. Hood Scenic Loop, Fruit Loop, wineries, breweries, summer and winter skiing / snowboarding, mountain biking and world class windsurfing and kiteboarding
