Guestbook comments from the owner

From a three year old, "Thank you for letting me pet the dogs, and thank you for letting me feed the cows. Thank you for letting me ride on the truck and the gator...and for letting me go to the snow! " Her parents wrote, "Thanks so much for everything! (Our daughter) had a blast, and we did too! You and your family are great hosts. The house is so cozy and comfortable, and the ranch is spectacular".

A wonderful weekend!

  • 5 of 5

The Meyer's are so welcoming and the valley property is an impressive working cattle ranch. The Bunkhouse is warm and cozy, the views breathtaking, we were invited to see newborn calves and to play with our grandchildren behind the family home on the play structure and swings. On top of all that, the features in the Bunkhouse are top of the line linens and beautiful bedding/furniture. A simply great experience!

A beautiful cabin

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was lovely...the only thing we would have changed was to have a few more window coverings for privacy. The location isn't completely private as it's fairly close to the lane and the house, but the owners are awesome, friendly people who would do anything for you. We had a wonderful time....topped off by snow the last night. We will definitely come again, if we ever need something in this area!

Nice, quiet get-away

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a relaxing time on the Meyers Ranch Retreat last week over the New Year. It was simple, clean, and quiet, and the owners were very friendly. It was close enough to Lake Almanor for a day trip, yet nestled quietly in the less well known Indian Valley. We had a great time!

Fantastic inside out wooden house with an expansive view of the surrounding hills

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our five-day stay in October 2017 in the original Meyers' house situated in a nice picturesque rural area. The house is very well conceived, made of wood inside out and decorated with an interesting personal touch. In all it creates a warm homey feeling and a pleasant relaxing vacation atmosphere. The expansive view of the surrounding hills with some fall colors is out of this world. Adding to the charm was Franklin the outdoors cat who was greeting us from his shelf above the house entrance door and the farm sheep dog Bes who was readily accompanying us in our walks around the farm. The owners are very friendly and the best hosts you can imagine.

Thank you Christine and Christian for providing such a nice place to enjoy and your warm welcome.

Best regards,

Pierre and Barbara

Gorgeous property, cozy and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the Meyers Ranch! Christine is such a friendly, caring and experienced host. We had everything we needed, including a super friendly cat and team of cuddly dogs to hang with. Such a sweet group.

The house was comfy, private and really well laid out. The internet was available but spotty so this property is definitely best for those who want to take a break from technology (the main cell coverage in the area is AT&T). Christine was so patient and quickly cycled the router if the internet did go down and we needed it. I wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed more of the gorgeous sunsets.
