The property is nice and secluded in the heart of Temecula Wine Country. It is spacious and has great views. The kitchen is nicely outfitted and we enjoyed sitting on the back porch in the mornings drinking our coffee.

Its really sad there are people like this! I have spent the past 12 years providing a great experience for all who have stayed.
Simply take a quick look at my One Hundred Five Star reviews!
Guest booked my property over the 4th of July holiday and wanted to cancel on the day of arrival. Guest makes up a story of mice infestation in order to get out of his contract and to get his money back. Guest never stayed at the property. Against my better judgement I refunded his money on the 5th of July against contract guidelines. Guest continues every week messaging me saying he never received his refund. I spent countless hours on the phone with HomeAway confirming with them that his money was refunded on the 5th of July.
It is sad that HomeAway allows guests to Lie in there review and post it when HomeAway has the proof that the money was returned!
See below email sent from HomeAway proving the refund.
Thank you for using HomeAway Payments, the leading online payment processor for the vacation rental industry.
I appreciate you for bringing this to our attention. Upon review, I see that there's a refund initiated to the reservation for your guest Steve Rozansky. Please see the information below.
Refunded payment on July 5th .
Please be informed that the refunded funds should be made available to the credit card used for the original transaction. If your guest saying he didn't receive the refund, please advise the guest to send a copy of their bank statement coming from their bank for the past 30 days for us to investigate.
Should you need any further assistance, feel free to visit our support.
Have a great day!

Lovely Log Home
This home was perfect for our stay. It is situated on top of a hill. The views were beautiful. There was both a front and back porch. The upstairs loft had a huge corner sofa and a very large TV with cable. As I sat on the sofa I could look out the window at the view. I was so pleasantly surprised that there was coffee available (as I forgot to bring any) and also a hair dryer. They had soap and shampoo/conditioner as well. The ceilings were tall with fans which moved the air beautifully. The bedrooms were perfect and clean. As was the entire home.
I would stay there again next time I am in Temecula. Thank you!

Quaint
It was rustic, cute and quaint... That being said there were a lot of little things that bothered me - The window sills, patio/deck areas, and the BBQ were all covered in dust... the water pressure in the shower was super low, and the hand soap in the bathroom and kitchen were almost empty... and unfortunately the internet speed was horrible, I feel like the biggest complainer right now but we couldn't even stream Netflix-At $510 for 2 nights I just expected a bit more, it was nice but..... It was my birthday and I just expected more....

Wow I'm so sorry that your experience wasn't what you wanted! I have 46 previous other 5 star reviews and I wish I could have made your stay great, we strive for total guest satisfaction. I wish you had called me during your stay so I could have addressed these items with you while at the property. With that said there are a few thing out of our control, like the dust on the windowsill and bbq area outside. Often minutes after cleaning the area outside the wind can blow and it will be dusty, we are a log home on 5 acres set up high on a hill with 360 degree views of the valley, the afternoons get the ocean breezes from San Diego that blows the nature's elements around.
The WIFI is the best wine country has to offer, unfortunately Verizon does not have Fios in the area so it's difficult to stream large movies. We do offer every channel made by Direct Tv including every movie channel 600 plus in total.
The shower head has 4 settings, soft, soft medium, medium and hard. The settings you had it on was soft, the water pressure at the home is 65psi.
We stock under the bathroom sink and kitchen sink 3 extra soaps, toilet paper rolls and paper towels if you were to ever run out.
I checked your nightly rate and it was 165.00 per night plus taxes and cleaning fee for a 2 night total of 510.00 .
We are always striving for 5 star 100% guest satisfaction.

If you think mice are cute and cuddly, this is your place.
The cabin appeared to be very clean and we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Pulling back the blankets, my friend ignored the hard, black droppings that were in her sheets. Maybe it was dirt... It wasn't until we went to bed the first night that I had a mouse run across my face. When I came flying out of my room, my friend came out and told me she could hear mice in her purse eating her Starbucks coffee cake. We messaged the owner the next morning and he NEVER responded. I guess he forgot to tell us this was a pet friendly place. We tried hard to find a a hotel, but everything was booked. Night two was spent listening to the mice running around, praying they wouldn't crawl in bed with us. It's hard to justify spending several hundreds of dollars a night when you are in a place that is infested with mice.

A Great Stay in a Great Place
My wife and I rented this Log Cabin for a month based solely on the write-up on VRBO and the interaction with Troy, the owner--it was a little outside of our comfort zone as we're used to nice hotels, etc. We were very pleasantly surprised. It is "out of the way" but very accessible and in a beautiful setting. It sits on top of one of the many rolling hills with outstanding views of Mt. San Jacinto (Palm Springs on the other side of the mountain) from the front driveway. The house itself is a real log cabin, including the stairs up to the loft. Very roomy living/dining/kitchen area with 4 fans, if you need them. The 2 bedrooms are very adequate and the one bathroom a bit smallish, but well equipped. Troy said he will be updating the bathroom sometime this year. The loft is very roomy with an excellent TV setup (DirecTV) and a very comfortable wrap-around couch. The drive to Temecula (10-15 minutes) goes past a LOT of wineries and vineyards--a very pleasant drive.
Troy is a former golf pro who is now Director of Instruction at Temecula Creek Golf Resort. I took a lesson from him and it has helped my game a lot--he is very good at what he does.
All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Log Cabin and would do it again. Troy also owns the house next door, about 200 yards away, and we met the current renter who had previously rented The Log Cabin, a returnee to Troy's property--that tells you something. I highly recommend The Log Cabin and working with the owner was a pleasure.
Pictures don’t do the place justice. Just a lovely, secluded cabin within 5 minutes of wineries. Our family loved our stay. Troy was available immediately with any questions that came up.
We loved this cabin was so clean, comfy, and romantic! Celebrated my husband’s birthday he was excited with the whole trip! Thank you again Troy for your cabin and hospitality. We will come again!
This is a charming old log cabin on the outskirts of Temecula valley. We had a lovely time visiting wineries but then coming back to this secluded cabin. Coffee on porch in morning, wine and games in evening! Troy was very accommodating with check in and walk through!
My wife and I could not be more happy. The cabin is very cute and has everything you need (tv, dvd player, coffee maker, pots, cups, etc). The beds are comfortable and the loft upstairs is huge, so it feels like a large space. Everything is very clean. There is a great porch to have your morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine at sunset. Troy was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. It's about a mile from where the wineries are - 15 minutes from Old Town. We used Uber to get around and it was never more than a few minutes away. I cannot recommend it more if you are looking for a relaxing get away! We are so happy we stayed here. Thank you Troy!
The cabin was a perfect get away for me and my wife. It was such a pleasure to stay in this lovely cabin rather than a hotel. The cabin was very clean and spacious. We felt right at home. The owner provided quick responses to any questions we had. I am not the best at technology, so it was great that he was willing to walk me through how to use the television in the loft. We were able to visit some of the local wineries, and then come back to enjoy a home-cooked meal in the kitchen… such a plus to have the comforts of home! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch watching the sunrise and taking in the amazing views! The cabin and property are gorgeous and very peaceful. If you are looking for a clean place for some rest and relaxation, look no further! It was such a treat to stay in a calming environment with incredible views. We can’t wait to stay here again!!
What a great view, and quiet, with a nice breeze! The cabin is just what is advertised. It is very sweet, very cozy, a nice place to get away. It is out among the vineyards up on a hill shaded by pine trees.Troy was great. He returned my calls immediately and answered my questions. It is a perfect place for a couple or a family. I noticed girls' get-aways were big in the guest book, as well.
My husband and I celebrated 18 years of marriage here in Temecula this weekend. We are from Vegas but not into the crazy night life. This provided us the seclusion we were looking for, escaping the hustle of our everyday city life but with all the wineries within a 5-10min drive. We really enjoyed this little piece of quiet paradise! We sipped coffee and mimosas every morning on the porch watching the wildlife and hearing the rooster crow in the far off distance. It really was a lovely and memorable weekend for us! Thank you. (Wish I could submit pictures because the ones shown really don’t do it justice.).
