About this property

Waterfront 4 story beach house on Hidden Beach with Air

The beach house is in southwest Puerto Rico. Playa Santa is a fishing village with beautiful calm Caribbean beaches. The house is on the "Hidden Beach", a wonderful swimming and snorkeling cove. We bought the house in 2007 for a swimming and painting retreat. Our part of the town is quiet, the main village has a few restaurants and a large beach. There is a fenced garden with a private 50 ft private walkway to a magical beach cove. The UNESCO Bosque Seco de Guánica offers incredible hiking.
The space
The main floor is one large room with kitchen, dining, living/office space and a full bath. The 2nd floor has 3 queen bedrooms and full bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have open air balconies for relaxing, sunning on exercise. The third floor is an open air art studio. The 4th story is an o;en air "Captains Nook"with panoramic views of the Caribbean. There is a fenced garden with a private 50 ft private walkway to a magical beach cove for swimming and snorkeling.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire property except the 4th small bedroom that is locked.

There are 3 sets of stairs in the house as this is a 4 story property. The floors are terrazzo and very slippery if you get them wet - so be careful. This rental is not good for older people or little loved ones who can slip, fall easily or has trouble negotiating stairs. We have never had and accidents and don't want you to be the first! We prefer children to be over 6 to stay at the property.

Many day trips to take from our location1 La Paragura for scuba diving on the famous"Wall" (scuba is also available in Playa Santa), Bosque Seco de Guánica an Unesco dry forest with fabulous hiking, Faro Lighthouse, Cavernas del Río Camuy (incredible caves), Arecibo Telescope Center are among many other points of interest

Adventure to see my brother and his family

Great house private beach we did lots of side trips cave and rock climbing , snorkeling the cousins had a great time together next trip we will chill at the house it was perfect for us!!

Great place to stay!

We loved everything about our stay! The house is beautiful and easy to find. It is located within walking distance of Monglillo and Playa Santa. We enjoyed sitting on the rooftop at night. There is always a nice breeze there and it’s a good spot to unwind. The beach behind the house is really good for shell hunting. The owners were very responsive and had everything you could possibly need in the house. We have stayed at multiple places in Puerto Rico and we all agreed that this was hands down the best!

Relax in Peace

The location is very quiet. The people in the area very kind. The house is extremely clean. It has some deferred maintenance issues. The shower handle comes off and you can't close the windows all the way. Small hot water heater so if a large group is staying you should give yourselves plenty of time to allow the water heater to catch up. All in all we had a wonderful experience. Appliances all worked and the host was available for any questions. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to get out of the rat race of life.

We are two painters who love swimming and bought incredible house in 2007. We spend January, February and March in our tropical paradise, painting and swimming. The house is available t rent the rest of the year.

Why they chose this property

This modern movement house was built by a Cuban architect in 1986. It has direct access to the Hidden Beach Cove where there is great swimming and snorkeling. There are many day trips to take from the house , La Pargeura is know for scuba diving on the "wall". The house is located in one of the few UNESCO Dry Forests in the world for hiking. Playa Santa is a small fishing village that is a favorite weekend retreat for the island.
