Four season escape w/ woodstove, firepit & mountain views
Wake up to mountain views, sip coffee on the wrap-around deck, and breathe in the fresh air. At Mountain View Lodge, every detail is designed for you to relax and recharge. Spend your days skiing at Pleasant Mountain, hiking local trails, or floating down the Saco River - and your evenings gathered around the firepit or curled up by the woodstove. With three bedrooms, two baths, and a fully equipped kitchen, there's space for families, friends, and couples to enjoy all four seasons.
The lodge sleeps up to six, making it perfect for families or groups of friends. The main floor offers a queen bedroom and full bath, while upstairs has a king bedroom and a room with two XL twin beds — giving everyone their own space to unwind. Each bedroom (and the living room) has its own AC unit so you’ll be comfortable no matter the season.
The open-concept living area features vaulted ceilings, a wood stove, and big windows that frame the mountain views. Cook meals together in the fully equipped kitchen — stocked with coffee, spices, and even a waffle maker for cozy breakfasts. After dinner, settle into the living room for a movie night on the big-screen Roku TV or head outside for s’mores by the firepit.
You’ll have the entire lodge and property to yourself — from the wraparound deck (perfect for grilling or stargazing) to the firepit area and spacious yard. Plenty of parking is available, and the home has reliable Starlink Wi-Fi if you need to stay connected during your stay.
We love sharing our lodge with guests who enjoy the outdoors as much as we do! In the summer, pack swimsuits for trips to nearby lakes or tubing on the Saco River. In the winter, bring your skis, snowboards, or snowshoes — Pleasant Mountain is only 5 minutes away. We’ve made sure the home is stocked with thoughtful extras so you can spend more time relaxing and less time planning.

Great house. Great host. The house was clean and very well stocked with all necessities. Jill was very accommodating and friendly. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay.
Such a great place to stay for a week long family vacation. The host did a great job of making their home feel cozy and inviting, while also providing many thoughtful touches like a s'mores station, bug spray, etc. We enjoyed our time in this beautiful mountain retreat and would happily recommend it to friends and family.
There are neighbors but you feel secluded!!! Internet was great so was able to have a “working vacation!” Kitchen was exceedingly well stocked!!! Lovely stay. Highly recommend !!
House was clean and cozy as advertised! I would stay here again without hesitation, adding an extra night to our stay was smooth and effortless. Property manager was quick to respond and very helpful with any questions we had. Great experience and highly recommended to anyone!
Nice retreat. The accommodations were very nice in a quiet and beautiful location. It was incredible that the kayaks were available. The compact kitchen had everything (cooked a lot). Lots of little extras like the q tips were a really nice touch. Since we visited during record heat, the air conditioning was wonderful.
This was one of our best vacation rentals yet. The graded dirt road and dirt driveway make for muddy tires and shoes, but everything else is perfect. The home has everything you need and more, including a s'mores welcome package for the fire pit. Good mattresses, no allergies whatsoever. Would stay there again if we visit the White Mountains again.
Everything was stunning; from views, firepit, the warmth and comfort of the interior. The “book of answers” was perfect! We knew where to go and shop, dine and relax at a beach. It was like being home.

the property was very clean, peaceful it had everything we needed. The only thing wrong is that there were way to many Mosquitos but that is the fault of mother nature and all of the rain that has fallen there recently.
What a sweet and cozy stay we had at our mountain retreat! Our welcome began from the moment we walked through the door and saw the twinkle lights and the S’mores supplies welcome kit. Jill’s book of instructions and suggestions for things to do in the area was both thorough and helpful and each room had been decorated with much care and thoughtful touches. We truly enjoyed our stay … both inside and out and would not hesitate to book at Jill’s place again.
Going off of the pictures the home looked gorgeous and like the perfect little getaway for lounge back and escape.
Actually experiencing the home in person, the pictures as beautiful as they are absolutely do not do it justice. The firepit out back overlooking the mountain and water is breath taking.
Inside the home was perfect! It was clean and cozy, but also updated and modernized. All of us felt right at home!
Would definitely return! On season/off season, it is the perfect place for any time of year!

Thank you for your wonderful and very kind words. We are so happy you and your family enjoyed your stay. We look forward to your return!
We had a great stay! The house is exactly as stated. It is very clean, and comfortable, with a very homey feel, and everything you need. We only needed the first floor, but the second floor offers lots of space for a family. We felt the need for a little heat on a chilly morning, and the home heated up great, very quickly. The sunset reflecting on the mountain looking out the back sliders was gorgeous! The back road the home is on is very quiet, just the road itself is a bit bumpy. The distance that we had to travel on it really wasn’t that far to make a big difference. Jill was very pleasant, and very easy to communicate with. We had a great time visiting the Fryeburg Fair, not far at all from the home. Lots of beauty, and great places in the area. We would definitely come back again, and would certainly recommend this home.

Thank you for your kind review. We often joke that sometimes during the fall, you need the heat in the morning and the AC in the afternoon. Luckily, we have both. I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay and we would love for you to return soon.

Why they chose this property
My husband and I purchased this property in 2005. We love the White Mountains and have always loved this area of Maine (Denmark is such a hidden gem). It really is an outdoor lover's paradise- skiing in the winter, kayaking and boating in the summer, and hiking and biking in the fall. After all these years, we are still exploring new areas.
What makes this property unique
This house captures the essence of everything we've fallen in love with about Maine - beautiful location, perfectly appointed home that is incredibly clean and tidy while still being warm and cozy.
