Why Jamie Carlson chose Old Bend

We love downtown Bend. With this location you can walk into downtown in a few minutes. Drake Park is about a five minute walk, Old Mill District is about 10 minutes. We bought it for the location and made it a house we love to stay in.

Loved being able to warm up by the fire after skiing and walk downtown for dinner in the evening. Hope to return soon!

Cozy, best ever equipped house

  • 5 of 5

Bright and cute house - the owners went above and beyond to what I would have expected from a vacation rental. Super clean with a very large smartly remodeled kitchen, well-furnished with everything to make us feel comfortable, including an extensive movie selection. The three of us had plenty of space and took advantage of preparing great meals! We slept very well in the comfortable beds! Thanks for letting us stay here.

The tiny house with everything you need!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this little house. It is small, but packed with so much! I have never been in a vacation home with such a stocked kitchen! The family room is super cozy, beds very comfortable, and the bathrooms are clean and functional. GREAT location. We walked to the Old Mill District and enjoyed walking along the river. Would stay here again!

Clean, cozy, great kitchen!

  • 4 of 5

Older home that has been nicely renovated, location close to old downtown Bend, Mcmenamins & other brew pubs, Mill district.

The kitchen, living room are very inviting spaces, best part of house. The bedroom with queen bed was small, just enough space to walk around. Queen room tight if 2 people trying to get ready at the same time.

We were able to take our dog, it was nice area to walk, backyard is fully fenced. Offstreet parking available for 2 vehicles.

Our contact for home was quick to respond, friendly. Home was well supplied in all areas. Kitchen very nice with plenty of kitchenwares. Living room comfortable, seating to accomodate 4-5 plus barstools.

Overall, met our needs and we enjoyed our stay.

Owner's Response: Yes, the bedrooms are small. A bit of sidestepping down one side in the single queen room. It's a 1920's bungalow. No queen beds in those days. Check our photos, no surprises. On the other hand, killer kitchen and living area. Can't beat the location and neighborhood.

Nicely modernized. Well equipped. Incredible location. Great value.

LOVED our stay here. You can basically walk to everything in downtown Bend from this cottage. It is also walking distance to a great grocery store which has some nice made-to-order hot food options and anything you may have forgotten to pack for your trip. Picnic tables out front and back were comfy even during the hot days of August thanks to the shaded backyard. We hardly used the air con. Kudos to whomever cleans this place because it was spotless!
