Check in process was simple and quick. Host provided ample instructions and advice and was very responsive to my messages. The hot tub was exactly what we needed and the sauna next to the hot tub was perfect after getting out of the tub. There were ample utensils for cooking and grilling. The beds were comfortable and clean. Definitely will book again if we’re in the neighborhood.
We had a great time with our family of 5 & 2 pups. Everything was exactly as described and the host was so responsive when I had questions about using the sauna and hot tub. The rooms were all very clean and the cookware was in great condition. We enjoyed some games and the kids loved having their own separate space in the loft. They can’t wait to go back. Next time we come off season we’d bring robes for the sauna/hot tub. Also a little wooden gate for the deck so our furry friends could enjoy it a bit more.
Perfect spot for a quick getaway. The property is cozy and fun, the community amenities were charming, and we were a quick drive to Jim Thorpe. Highly recommend!
This property is super spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The property owners keep the home clean and well decorated, and the hot tub and sauna were incredible additions to the weekend! I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!!
The location for us was perfect and the house was super cozy and clean. Communication with the owner was excellent as well. We will be bookmarking this one!

So glad you enjoyed, Jeff! Hope to host you again!
Rental was as described, clean and plenty of space. We had 2-4 adults most of the week with one night where there were 8 adults and we had plenty of space. Hosts were super responsive to questions. It was a great get away.
House was very clean and had everything you needed. We didn't end up using the hot tub because it was extremely windy during our stay. Would recommend an upgrade to the pots and pans. Also, we couldn't get the k-cup portion of the coffee maker to work. Luckily, they supplied coffee and filters to make a carafe. We had a wonderfully relaxing time. The neighborhood was very peaceful.
We had an amazing time for our brief, long weekend at the chalet! It was a beautiful property with a well stocked kitchen and a great location. I would definitely come back and recommend to others!
We loved staying at this VRBO and would absolutely love to come again! The space is beautiful, and the atmosphere is incredibly peaceful. Shoutout to the most comfortable couches I’ve ever sat on and the super cozy fireplace—perfect for relaxing. Can’t wait to return!
Overall, the house was fine. But you will get nothing from the hosts. The house had no heat on in the house while having actually sub arctic temps, none of the dishes were clean, the sauna had actually three inches of ice on the bottom, there was the most pathetic attempt at shoveling and after asking ,more than once, to have some of it cleaned up I was told "it simply cannot be done". Now we as guests were able to figure out how to, you know, clean the dishes, fix the sauna, and in fact the snow CAN be shoveled and cleared with a plastic shovel one of us keeps for emergencies. Would I recommend the property it's self? Sure. But with the hosts.... I simply cannot recommend.

Hi Ally,
I’m glad you enjoyed the house!
I’m sorry that your experience was not ideal. To address your concerns:
- Heat: of course the heat was on and working; if the heat wasn’t on, in, as you mentioned, sub-arctic, the pipes would freeze in the house, which would obviously cause a lot more issues. If you were having any trouble with the heat, you absolutely could have reached out, but you did not.
- Dishes: there is a professional cleaning crew that thoroughly cleans the home, including the dishes. Once again, if there were issues with the dishes, you could have absolutely reached out, but you did not.
- Sauna: I have images from my cleaning crew showing the condition of the sauna prior to your arrival, which had no ice in it. Perhaps the arctic weather and snow created an ice layer. Again, I would have had someone at the property had I known about this issue, but you did not address it.
- Snow Removal: we experienced a snowstorm and severe cold. My snow removal company came by and removed the snow prior to your arrival. When you reached out, I sent them back to the property. As explained, because of the subarctic temperatures, the snow was frozen to the ground and could not physically be removed. As an alternative, my team put down 4 containers of ice melt, which is what I relayed to you.
In sum, I cannot do anything as a host if I do not know of the issues. The issue that was communicated was addressed, and an alternative was given due.
The property was nice, clean, and in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay overall. However, check-in did not go smoothly at first and we had to contact the host for assistance. The sauna also wasn’t working the first day, but the host resolved the issue after we reached out. Despite those hiccups, it was a good experience!
Girls getaway weekend and this house was great! The couch is super comfy. The game loft is amazing and fun. Any issues were addressed and communication with the owner was fantastic. Water pressure in shower wasn’t optimal but that didn’t ruin out great time! Would definitely stay here again

Thanks, Tina! So glad you tow had a great time. Glad you will be back with your children :)
We had a great, relaxing weekend (too short though). The house was a very comfortable fit for the 6 of us with the 3 bedrooms and loft space. Very clean and spacious. The hot tub, sauna, and community amenities (pool, lake, tennis) definitely came in handy. Strongly recommend.
This was a great location for a birthday weekend away for five gals. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and the cabin was cozy for late nights. The location was right in the middle of Towamensing Trails with trees all around (and loads of deer). Our favorite feature was the indoor fireplace that ran on a timer. We didn't get a chance to use any of the community's amenities but it seems like a lovely neighborhood, though you aren't particularly close to the neighbors.
