Central Florida home that is a great jumping off point for a multitude of land and water activities. This single story (no steps) pool home is located on a canal that leads to the Dora Chain of Lakes and Lake Apopka. The Dora Chain is known for great fishing, all watersports, and waterfront dining. There is a covered boat dock available for guests, and a public boat ramp is about a mile from the house. Across the canal is undeveloped land which makes for great bird watching from the property, as well as being located near two spots on the Florida Birding Trail. There are 2 public golf courses nearby for golf enthusiasts. The historic town of Mount Dora with fabulous restaurants and shopping is 15 minutes away. Explore beautiful natural springs 20-30 minutes away. For those who may be interested in theme parks, Disney World is 45 minutes away. The Lake Apopka wildlife drive/trail is just 10 minutes away. Long & Scott Farm is just 5 minutes away and is open seasonally for agritourism. Kayaks (3) and bicycles (2) are included with the rental. Bring your boat or rent one from a rental company on the Chain of Lakes!

Clean, spacious and well-equipped

This was the perfect place for a group of old friends to meet up. Very clean with a well equipped kitchen (and sunscreen!) and lots of places to tell stories. The pool had the perfect amount of shade for us northeners. Beds were comfortable and clean. Saw some big gators in the canal, so we passed on kayaking. Would visit again.

Awesome Vacation Spot!

We stayed at the house for a week and it was an awesome spot! No complaints on our end the house and property was very clean! Lots of wildlife around with the house being right on a canal! Liz was a great host who always responded to my messages and was very kind and respectful! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

The Perfect Vacation Home

My husband and I stayed the entire month of March in this lovely home. You will find this home inviting and stocked with everything needed. The beds are super comfortable, which is incredibly important. The hosts are accessible, if needed...but you won't find you need them much, if at all, as they've thought of and provided everything! The pool area is great just for relaxing if it's a bit too early in the year to enjoy the water. This place is the perfect get-away home!

We had a wonderful experience! House was I. A perfect location for us. Pool, dock and canal were great. My friends fished from the dock. Very comfortable stay, we cooked a great meal on Sunday and had everything we needed to cook. I highly recommend this unit.

I was surprised at home well it was supplied with stuff . Even though the house is pet friendly it didn’t smell like pets at all . The pool was nice . The house was nicely decorated. Overall we would stay there again .

Awesome place fully stocked

The host has thought of everything! From water dishes for the pup to pool floats and ziplock bags! This house is close to Mount Dora in a safe neighborhood and the pool was awesome in the Florida heat. It was all we could do not to keep this review to ourselves but decided others deserved to know how wonderful it is!

Home away from home

House was well stocked above and beyond my expectations. I dont think it didnt have anything i needed. Kids had a great time in the pool, played chess and checkers quite a bit. We kayaked down the canal which was absolutely beautiful. The neighborhood was quiet and nice to take walks or ride bikes around. liz was always available to answer any questions. Would definitely stay again
