About Julie Mercer
I'm a Santa Barbara based designer from a large Washington ranching and viticulture (wine - Mercer Estates) family. This guest suite is a tribute to our family's Horse Heaven Hills ranching and viticulture history. These are reflected in reflected in the sheep shed style shower tile, horse blankets, wools and galvanized metals to represent sheep baron Willis Mercer who built this handsome building, decorative tile representing ranch cedar and barb wire fences, horse bridle "concho" style bathroom pulls and knobs, and keeping in the Mission architectural style of the building. I am especially proud of this truly "green" building built by great grandfather in 1906 and now home to numerous residents, businesses and guests. Come enjoy the 110+ year old wooden floors and 8'x3' stunning windows.

This building is a family legacy located in the heart of Prosser, home of the Washington wine industry. Built in 1906 by great grandfather and NW civic leader Willis Mercer it housed our grandfather and his siblings when they married. We think of the new suites as the honeymoon rooms! At 18,000 square feet with 3 retail spaces on the ground floor the upstairs features numerous residential tenants, loft spaces and now vacation guest rentals so others can enjoy the best in downtown living and vacationing.
