The Heart of the Home & Downstairs Delight
Step into a beautifully bright kitchen with features every cook will adore. It effortlessly spills out onto a spacious side porch—ample in size for entertaining, al fresco dining, or simply relaxing while watching the local deer play. Downstairs is completed by a dedicated dining room and a large, welcoming living room.
Cozy Note: While the home features a beautiful original fireplace that adds to the historic charm, it is currently decorative only and not available for guest use. However, we invite you to enjoy the outdoor fire pit—we even provide the firewood!
Layout Note: There is no bedroom or full bathroom on the main floor.
Upstairs: History and Comfort
As you ascend the beautifully angled staircase, the original wood floors immediately capture your attention. This home truly resonates with old-world charm, evident in the gorgeous original doors, antique knobs, a classic pocket door, and the comforting character of gently sloped floors and windows.
The Master Suite: A tranquil retreat with a queen-sized bed, a dedicated desk, and free weights and a yoga mat for a quick workout.
Bedroom 2: Features a comfortable queen bed and a dedicated desk.
Bedroom 3: A bright and cheery room with two twin beds (both with trundles)—perfect for families or sleepovers!
Laundry: A convenient laundry stack is located just outside the hall bathroom for quick cleanups.
Outdoor Adventures & The Game Shed
Hours of fun await in our detached game shed, crafted from 100-year-old barn wood that previously stood on the property. Inside, you'll find a combination pool/ping-pong table and classic arcade games.
Outside, the two-acre property offers a volleyball net, cornhole, and the daily possibility of spotting local wildlife like bunnies, deer, wild turkeys, or even a groundhog!

A Note on Connection (Digital Detox)
While we do have Wi-Fi, the connection can be a bit 'rural' and inconsistent. We like to think of it as a great excuse to put the phones away, grab a board game, and enjoy each other's company! If you’re planning a working holiday that requires heavy Zoom calls or high-speed streaming, this might not be the best fit—but if you’re looking to truly unplug, you’re in the right place.
Other Things to Note
TV: Our television is setup for streaming your favorite apps only.
Water Softener: The home relies on a well and a water softener system.
Country Wildlife: Because this is a true rural setting, you may occasionally encounter local country bugs or seasonal stink bugs during your stay.
