Hi, I'm Angela. For eleven years I've operated RezDawg Rescue based out of Colorado. Most of our pups come from New Mexico and Arizona, and primarily from Reservation lands. As the non-profit has grown we realized a need for a property closer to the majority of our operations. DesertDawg Resort is primarily a rental property and food bank with a full time care taker; but also functions as a transportation hub and rehabilitation space for the occasional rescue not yet ready for a foster. All proceeds go directly to RezDawg Rescue.

I know that traveling with a dog (or three) can be difficult. It's especially difficult when all of the pet friendly hotels are booked, or even if your dog just doesn't like all the smells of the hundreds of other dogs who've already used the pet places.
Just 30 scenic miles from Albuquerque, 5 minutes from I-40 and 1 minute from Historic Route 66, the property offers a secure, fenced in, completely private area for your pet/s right outside the rental door. There is also a nice covered screen porch with patio furniture, and a special play area for the very small pups.
