Tri-Point Flat is located in the off-beat Tobin Hill Neighborhood. It's a small house, but charming and comfortable. The layout is perfect for a maximum of 6 people. Please do not ask us about accommodating more than 6. The bedrooms are comfortable, but small. There is no room for air mattresses or extra beds. We're located just off North St Mary’s St and Hwy 281 near downtown San Antonio. Please note that this house is next to a freeway. Hwy 281 is primarily a commuter freeway, surfaced with sound absorbing coating and large truck traffic is prohibited. Traffic is light during the night and the house has been well insulated. It is the trade off for the excellent location and convenience to everything of interest in San Antonio. We are situated next to Trinity University, Brackenridge Park, San Antonio Zoo, The Witte Museum, San Antonio Museum of Art and the new Museum Reach extension of the Riverwalk. The freeway provides easy, direct access to all the major sites like Sea World, Fiesta Texas, and The Mission Trail. Owned and operated by Veriena Braune and local artist Brad Braune, this 1000 sq ft, 3 bedroom flat, decorated in contemporary style will immerse you in comfort and surround you with lovely works of art by Brad Braune as well as pieces from his private collection. Wake up to the church bells of the Catholic Church on the corner, work out at Tri-Point Fitness Center across St Mary’s, walk to the many local restaurants nearby, drive or bike the short distance to the Riverwalk extension at the old Pearl Brewery where you can board a boat and cruise to downtown for sight seeing and shopping. Then back to relax before your night on the town. If you are on a business trip, you are only 5 minutes from the airport, or 3 minutes to downtown by taxi.

The owners and operators of TriPoint Flat are a Mother/Son team. Brad Braune is a well known San Antonio contemporary western artist. His work hangs in many private and corporate collections, not only in the SA area, but across Texas and the US. For some years he has taught a weekly class at The Coppini Academy, a local art school and also teaches at the Southwest School of Art. Veriena Braune is a retired educator who lives in Granbury, Texas and operates Bed & Breakfast facilities with her daughters, Kathy Braune and Cindy Bell.

Why Veriena Braune chose East Side

Thirty years ago Brad purchased an abandoned church and remodeled it into his present art studio. Three years ago, he and Veriena were able to purchase the small house next door that had served as the parsonage for the former church, but had set vacant for some years. Realizing the location was a perfect place for people to come to enjoy San Antonio, they set about to repair and restore the house – and miraculously this has been accomplished.

What makes this house unique

This house is not only relaxing and comfortable, but is an incredible experience of original art work. Brad has hung many of his own pieces, as well as work from his private collection by other artists. The location is great – on a short boulevard where North St. Marys and Hwy 281 come together a few blocks south of Trinity University. St Marys has several restaurants, art galleries, clubs and coffee shops. Follow St Marys under Hwy 281 and you are at Breckenridge Park, Zoo and The Sunken Gardens, Witte Museum and other exciting places on Broadway. Follow 281 toward downtown just a few blocks and you are at the newly opened riverwalk extension at the old Pearl Brewery area and The San Antonio Museum of Art. There, you can not only board a riverboat for a trip downtown, but also browse the Museum and some great restaurants and shops.

We love this comfy home.

This was our second stay at this property. It’s a great place to getaway and decompress. Brad does a great job with communication and getting the place ready. Awesome and relaxing inside and beautiful back patio. We will be back for a third stay in the future.

beautiful home, great location

We picked this home because it was near to the activities we like the best in San Antonio. The home itself was beautiful and well appointed. Parking was easy, and the owner was available.

I found the home was quiet inside despite its proximity to the 281 freeway, but the light sleepers in our group could hear the traffic.

Amazing Location & Host

First off, Brad is awesome! When we had a hiccup with our travel arrangements Brad went out of his way to work with us and make the rental perfect for our vacation! This rental is within walking distance of some very cool restaurants. Minutes away from the Zoo or the Pearl district, this rental is in an ideal part of town!

PS - I highly recommend brunch at Nola and dinner and pints at Atta Girl, both about a block away! Tycoon Flats is close and offers a large outside dinning area with a kids play area for little ones.

Great Rental in Central Location

We enjoyed a lovely stay at this rental house! It was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. The house itself is tucked away in an understated cul-de-sac, but is near Pearl, the zoo, and the Riverwalk.
