About this property
Country Log Cabin #1- In the heart of the White Mountains
Come relax in front of the wood burning fireplace. This 2 b/r, 2 bath log cabin is located on a hill with mountain views. All new appliances in kitchen, washer & dryer, a/c, TV, internet/WiFi and more. Within 20-30 minutes of several small towns and villages such as Sugar Hill, Franconia, Littleton, Bethlehem, Lincoln and Woodstock as well as Franconia Notch State Park, Cannon Mt., Bretton Woods and Loon Mt. skiing, the east entrance of the scenic Kancamagus Highway. A few extra minutes gets you to Mt. Washington and other area great sites. This Country Log Cabin is situated on 3 acres on a quiet country road. Walk-in to the kitchen which is open to the living room with a wood burning fieldstone fireplace, which has a comfy nature-themed couch and chair. It also has an antique rocker. As you walk down the hall the master bedroom - The Moose Room - is directly in front of you. The decor and king size bed welcome you. The master bath is complete with a corner style shower. The second bedroom to your left - The Bear Room - which has an authentic queen size log bed and bear decor. Just outside there is a half bathroom with a washer and dryer. Please read “Other details to note” for more important information. Guests will have access to most of the space. The Moose bedroom closet, basement, and a few cabinets will be inaccessible. You can reach me through Airbnb message or by phone. I have my staff available as well, Kim and Tawnya who live close by The neighborhood is quiet. You may have visits by the various species of birds, a flock of turkeys, a few deer, some cute raccoons, maybe a moose or a bear. There is free parking on site. You would want a vehicle with all wheel drive to navigate the area in the winter. During all other times any mode of transportation would do. You can also bike to several destinations. This log cabin has two cats that travel with the owner and occupy the space when it’s not available for rental. For those that may be allergic to cats, we have minimized this by using separate sets of sheets, pillows, blankets and a quilt for the quest beds and do a thorough vacuuming and hair removal from furniture, rugs, floors and other surfaces. Though we do our best to remove any presence of the cats, we cannot guarantee that this will not cause a reaction for those sensitive to cats.
THERE IS A STRICT NO PET POLICY for this cabin. THIS INCLUDES SERVICE ANIMALS AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMALS. It is home for me and my two cats. They are very sensitive to change, one much more so. He had spent two days in a vet ICU and we almost lost him. The vet concluded that it was a major stress event. They are inside cats and do not have contact with other animals. Introducing them to other animals’ scents - in what is considered a safe environment for them - could make them feel threatened and COULD trigger another event.

This was a nice place for us to stay for the New Year. We had easy access to Littleton and all of the attractions in the area. Host was very communicative and made everything really easy for our stay. Thanks!

Hello Jace, So happy to hear you enjoyed your stay at the cabin. Seems the central location between the small towns and the natural attractions was perfect for you both. Hope to have you back.
Thank you!
Alana
My bride and i stayed three nights here. The fireplace steals the show, the the cabin itself is quite stunning!! Great stay!! Close enough to things to do, but cozy enough that you may not want to leave the cabin!! Super clean and they have everything you need!! We'll be back for sure!!!!
It was a beautiful cabin they lay out pamphlets that helped us find places to eat and places to visit, which was very nice. The only downside is that it is in the neighborhood which the neighbors dog was released at 1:30 in the morning and would bark for about half an hour each night before they brought them back in, but besides that it was beautiful and quiet

Thank you for staying with us. I’m sorry about the dog diagonally across the street. He doesn’t bark every night. I’m assuming it’s when an animal is close by like a deer, moose etc. I definitely will address this with Nancy so she will be aware that this is disturbing guests.
We hope to have you stay with us again soon!
We loved our stay at this quaint little log cabin. It had everything that we needed. The beds were super comfy and the fireplace was perfect. We actually spent most of our time on the covered front porch watching all the birds. The porch had flowers and bird feeders that attracted beautiful yellow finches, woodpeckers, and hummingbirds. The house if off the beaten track quite a bit but the side roads were filled with wildflowers, little stores, and Polly’s Pancake Parlor. We will definitely come back!
Beautiful, nicely decorated, clean and "homey" property
The three of us stayed for almost a week in August. We loved the cabin. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well stocked up and had all amenities, including a dishwasher, toaster oven and a Keurig coffee maker. The bathrooms were clean, the half bathroom had nice washer and dryer. The beds were very comfortable. The locations was fine, and the neighbor's property mentioned by some other reviewers did not bother us at all. Very quiet at night, easy road access and we could get to all major attractions nearby very easily. I recommend this property, and we would love to come back next year.
