Sijaitsee kolme kilometriä eteläpuolella kuvern��rin satamasta Atlantin rannikolla Eleuthera, katsot ulos yksi kauneimmista rannoista Bahama.

Rentoudu lämpimät vedet Venus Pool, näkyy vain laskuveden aikaan. Kävellä mailia viileä vaaleanpunainen hiekka. Rakenna tulipalojen ajopuu ja keitä tähtien alla. Talot ovat lopussa pitkä yksityinen ajotielt��. "Kivet, vieras mökki, on oma pysäköintialue, pois näkyvistä Pä��rakennus. Talot täysin itsen��isesti, eivätkä yli näyttävät toisiaan millään tavalla. Sek�� kalliilla että kallioilla on uudet ovet ja ikkunat asennettu maaliskuussa 2016.

Sisustettu tosi karibialaisiin v��reihin, lähes kaikki huoneet odottavat merelle.

Läheiset ovat joitakin parhaista ravintoloista saarella. Tippyn kuuluisa rantahotelli on puolen kilometrin päässä rannalta. Mate ja Jennyn on todellinen saaritunnelmaa. Sky Beach Clubin erinomainen ravintola ja allasbaari ovat alle 10 minuutin ajomatkan pä��ssä.

Palvelut: Päärakennus on neljä makuuhuonetta, joissa oma kylpyhuone. Yksi king-size vuode, 2 kuningattaret ja 2 erillistä vuodetta (kaksoset voi peitellyn kuningas). "Lastenhuone" on 2 päivävuodetta ja jakaa kylpyhuoneen.

Vierasmökki, "Pebbles", voidaan vuokrata yhdess�� pä��rakennuksen (lisämaksu koskee päärakennus) tai erikseen. Kivet on yksi king-size vuode, 2 kylpyhuonetta ja vuodesohva olo / ruokailuhuone. Molemmissa taloissa on täysin varustettu keittiö, jossa on mikroaaltouuni, sekoittimet, kahvinkeittimet, ja astianpesukoneet. Lakanat ja pyyhkeet. Pesukone (ja kuivain pä��rakennuksessa). Puhelin paikallisille ja tuleville puheluille. DSL nopea langaton internetyhteys, Suora TV monta kanavaa. IPod-telakka-CD-soittimet sekä hyvä kirjakirjasto, backgammon ja muita pelej�� myös talossa. Aurinkovarjot ovat my��s mukana. Molemmat talot ovat ilmastoituja kaikkialla (paitsi keitti��n ja tv-talon pä��rakennuksessa).

Pyykinpesut ripustettiin huomaamattomasti pandanan pensaiden takana!

Siivouspalvelu, lastenhoito ja yksityinen kokki ovat saatavilla erityisj��rjestelyin.

Ihana talo perheen hauskaa tai kaveriporukoita, jotka haluavat nauttia toisistaan, mutta s��ilyttävät edelleen omat tilansa ja yksityisyytensä.

Aktiviteetit: Kävely mailia rannalla. Uinti, snorklaus ja kalastus. On uima-allas ja tenniskentät Cigatoo Resorts vain tiell��. Polkupyörät ovat saatavilla teini-ikäisille ja aikuisille. On useita erinomaisia ��ravintoloita 20 minuutin säteellä autolla. Lähin on Tippy, joka on alle kilometrin alas rantaan, ja hieman kauempana on Beach House. Molemmat ovat elävä�� musiikkia tiettyjä yötä. Nauti saaren rennosta ilmapiiristä!

Kaupunki Maaherran Harbour, 2 kilometrin päässä On the Rocks, on kaikki tarvittavat kauppoja, pankkeja, matkatoimisto, ruokakaupat, lahja kauppoja ja ravintoloita. Se on viehättävä ja luonnontilaisia. Ei ole suuria hotelleja tai kasinot Eleuthera. Se on kauniisti hiljainen ja rauhallinen saari. On olemassa monia rantoja tutkimaan!

Harbour Island on tunnin pohjoiseen ja tekee suuren p��ivän matkan. Lounas kuuluisalla Pink Sands -lomakeskuksella, sukellusta Valentine's Dive Centeriin ja golfkärryn vuokraus saaren ympäri ja nauttia kauniista vanhojen bahamilaisten talojen kauniista arkkitehtuurista, joka ulottuu 1700-luvulle.

Fantastic location!

The location is just like the photos, but better! The water was amazing, clear, and very swimmable. The house did have some minor maintenance issues (missing knobs on some appliances, etc.), but the island is remote and replacement parts are harder to get to. The layout of the house was gorgeous and perfect for our two families to stay in. Overall, highly recommend!

Family Fun at "On the Rocks"

The property worked perfectly for our extended family. The house was well stocked with everything one needed to enjoy the pool and beach as well as preparing meals. The views from the deck and house were unbelievable. Easy access to the beach was a big plus for us. We truly enjoyed are stay.

Location Location

This home is located on a beautiful pink soft sand beach with its own natural rocky breakwater creating calm water and good snorkeling opportunities. There is even a good shade tree with swings. Its location matched my ideal beach house dream. The property itself has become dated, the large sliding glass doors are difficult to operate, the well water has an unpleasant taste, the pool had some algae, and there were a few other shortcomings. But having that beach makes up for a lot.

The driveway is the 1st obstacle to the house. You may bottom your car out a few times until you figure out how to navigate it. We were 3 couples and the setup of the house was perfect for us. This isn’t a 5 star house, it’s showing its age and could use some updating but it’s Eleuthera. The location and beach make up for any shortcomings in the house. We spent all day, everyday sitting on the beach and swimming. Bugs at night are annoying if there isn’t a breeze to keep them away. Bug spray works. Going to the beach at night and stargazing is recommended. The location of this house is the best. The pool was warm so we didn’t use it much, plus it needed to be cleaned. We had a rodent problem and an air conditioner issue but both were taken care of quickly.

Trip with kids and gkids

The property location is awesome. Views were tremendous. The beach is fantastic for kids, even being on Atlantic side. House is set up great for family/extended family. Main house with 4 bedrooms with baths, and studio with 5th bedroom, bath and kitchenette. Would rent again. Backup generator definitely a big plus, as the neighbors were w/o power for 12+ hours. 2 fridges great for large family. Gardeners were great with gkids, gathered and opened coconuts for them. Owner has games, etc for kids, was nice as we had some weather while there. Have no idea if TV worked, or if there was even a tv there, haha, if so, it was never turned on, even with 5 children. 😀 The internet service did work well. Only concern/complaint was being without water for 14 hours at checkin. Was mostly a communication issue. Worked well, no pun intended, the rest of the week.

An Amazing Location and a Wonderful Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I can honestly say that the beach at On the Rocks was the nicest one we saw on the island. And, many people walking by the house said the same. We were visited daily by a variety of sea life including a large stingray. Though the rocks were not as full of coral and sea-life as we expected, they were beautiful nonetheless. We snorkeled everyday. The house was clean and well-stocked. We enjoyed having two fridges. Also, we were close to Eleuthera Island Farm, which has fresh bread twice a week, a variety of fresh veggies and fruits, alcohol, and water. The market in town also provided us with the staples.Kim and Patricia were amazing. They were responsive and extremely accommodating. We drove down to Tarpum Bay one day and bought a huge hogfish snapper from the local fisherman which provided us with two dinners and fresh ceviche.A couple of suggestions:1. Purchase meat and dry goods before you go and bring them with you. The cost of a couple of luggage pieces is much less than purchasing on the island.2. Buy your alcohol at the liquor store across from North Eleuthera Airport (if you arrive here). Though you would think otherwise, they sell their beer for cheaper than any place we found.3. If you would like fresh fish the day you arrive, ask Bealuh (the woman who cleans the home). She provided us with fresh grouper at a reasonable price.Overall, we loved the house and the location.

A very disappointing stay

Reviewer Comments: We have visited Eleuthera 11 times and rented 9 different houses, so we have a reasonable expectation for rental homes on the island.I gave my first 5-star rating in April to Aqua Villa and this will be my first 2-star rating for On the Rocks.ProOwner kindly permitted an early check inLike all the houses on the Atlantic side of Banks Road, the house is steps from a gorgeous, miles long beachBack-up generator was appreciated several timesSeating in living and dining was great for 7 guestsConsWas given the property manager's contact info just prior to arrival. She never responded to a single e-mail or phone callThe listing says there are beach umbrellas- After 4 e-mails and one call, the owner e-mailed "No beach umbrellas, sorry"After arrival at the house, the owner e-mailed that she would be arriving on the property and staying at the guest cottage about 50 yards away. She did not mention that 2 of her friends and 6 dogs were also coming and staying in the studio which is attached to the main house we rented for $7,600/wkThe house is significantly below average in terms of cleanliness and maintenance issues. On day one, our feet would be black within about 60 minutes of showering due to floorsThe pool is not as shown in the pictures- it is painted black which makes it not just uninviting, but in the summer causes the water to reach 90 degrees plus. This, plus the 19 dead crabs in the pool, effectively meant there was no pool to enjoy.Upon arrival, the house was at 88 degrees with all the AC units off, there were two empty water jugs on the floor in the kitchen, there were no paper towels and virtually no toilet paper. This is the first house over $5k/wk which could not provide $50 worth of starter supplies.The gas grill was rusted and broken with the legs being supported by 2x6 pieces on the floor and the charcoal rack being held up with rocks.There is one small tv for the entire house but the

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The beach that this house sits in front of is amazing. We traveled with a newborn and a toddler, 4 adults and 4 kids ages 11-15. The kids all loved the option to have a gentle beach at the Venus pool as well as waves. We rented paddle boards and used the provided kayaks a lot. The swimming pool was great - it does look dirty even when it's clean due to the black bottom so just be aware of that. The house has a few quirks and needs a little fixing here and there - as island homes do - and after experiencing the difficulty of getting to Eleuthera, it's impressive that these beach homes can stay maintained at all. I'm sure it's difficult to get household supplies in general. We had plenty of beds and rooms for the 10 of us and the family with 4 older kids slept on the one side of the house while my family with the 2 littles used the 2 rooms on the other side of the house. The wifi is spotty in general so don't come here thinking that you'll be working remotely - nor should you want to! You will also need to rent beach chairs - they are not provided (the listing says they are) and you can't take the pool lounge chairs to the beach. There was a nesso tent for shade provided and a few sand toys like buckets/shovels and 2 puddle jumper flotation devices. The only suggestions I'd have is to get the dishwasher serviced - it left a greasy film on all the dishes after washing; and get some beach chairs for guests. I also emailed the owner twice before arriving to ask about shade accommodation but I wasn't answered. We ended up packing our own nesso tent and we were a little frustrated when we arrived that there was one provided. Traveling with 2 little ones causes a lot of luggage and it would've been nice to have one less thing to pack. The trees at the beach provide a lot of shade too. The house has a pack and play which was great. We also visited Receivers beach which had lots of good seashells and the kids loved finding them.

Nice Vacation

Pros: The house was very spacious. Large rooms. Comfortable beds. Beautiful back patio with view of the beach. Close to town. Cons: when we arrived the house was closed up and the air was turned off. I realize electricity is expensive but it was very warm in the house and it had an odor. The house was not in as good of condition as the pictures make it appear. It’s rather old and needs some TLC. Overall we had a wonderful trip. Would we stay there again? Probably not but it was alright for the number of people we had. One more thing…we were there when Hurricane Nicole was near. They were incredibly nice to offer us extended days if we weren’t able to leave on time.

GREAT HOME AND LOCATION

Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After 13 years, we returned to On the Rocks, with more family and friends. 10 adults and one infant.Perfect place to kick back and relax.Sit by the pool, walk the beach, Tippy's couch fritters, central location.

Ideal site for families with and without kids

Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had 4 households w 11 people to celebrate a 70th birthday and it was ideal. The kids ages 18 months to 8 loved the pool and the easy beach access with a gentle reef to block waves. Loved having a generous outdoor and indoor dining table. The only surprise was how low the ceiling was in the studio as my son in law is tall. There are loads of pool and beach toys which is a treat. I highly recommend the place.

5 star location and setting. House could use some upgrades.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place is fantastic! The setting is amazing. If you are looking for 5 star accommodations, this is not it. Electric and Water were out half a day each, but I am told that is not uncommon on the island. The rental is aged and of updates would be a great investment. It really did not bother us, as we stayed outside most of the time.If your looking for a 5 star location, this is it!

The perfect vacation home for family and friends!

We spent 2 wonderful weeks at On the Rocks. Our first week was with family , and our second with friends. The house is as welcoming as an old friend, decorated with the owner's colorful art and treasures from their travels. The rooms were totally accommodating. Having bathrooms for every one is really nice. The view from the living room is spectacular and the furniture is lovely. We had a puzzle in works on the coffee table, a table for watercoloring, and a dining table that comfortably seated all 8 of us. The daybed room proved irresistible to those who pretend to read but actually nap. The kitchen was perfect for us, a group of people who love to cook with plenty of cookware, dishes and glasses. We bought grouper, conch and snapper from the fishermen in the harbor, great bread and produce from Bacchus, wine from Bristol in Cupids cay and all else from the markets in town. We had delicious lunches and dinners at the Buccaneer Club and dinner at Tippy's and brought yummy takeout from Bacchus as well. The house is situated on an exquisite beach, with trees providing sufficient filtered sun that we didn't need an umbrella. The Venus pool does not disappoint. It is perfect for children as well as evening cocktails. And then there is the snorkeling! The reefs out past the rocks sport some of the most colorful coral and fish I have seen in years. Beulah, the housekeeper, takes good care of the house and it's guests. We have stayed in 3 different homes on Eleuthera. All were lovely, but everyone who stayed with us at On the Rocks has already decided this is the place for next summer.
