Willowhaven ~ Beautifully Crafted Redwood Home, Spa, Woof!

Willowhaven is a beautifully crafted redwood home on a generous lot dotted with fruit trees. An expansive wraparound deck encapsulates seven glorious redwood trees and bends around even more. With a mixture of shade and bright light, it’s the perfect setting for a romantic getaway or to simply recharge your batteries. In fair weather, BBQ, dine outside, slumber in the hammock, or stargaze. When it rains, luxuriate in the hot tub or listen to the storm from the cozy interior. High ceilings and abundant windows make all type of weather lovely at Willowhaven. A redwood “cathedral” surrounds the hot tub and up-lights show off the beauty of our trees.

Inside, the master bedroom features a King-size bed with adjusting frame. Lift or lower the back or foot sections of the bed separately and settle in to watch TV or snuggle while the wood burning stove warms the room. Both full bathrooms are substantial – making this a great home to visit as a couple, with friends, or a small family. The fully stocked kitchen and many places to dine, inside and out, ensure you have room to prepare gourmet meals with local produce and wines.

You’re minutes from the coast, Armstrong Woods State Park, Northwood Golf Course, and the Russian River. Quaint shops, casual and fine dining, and world (and locally) famous wineries are within a short drive.

Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Willowhaven is 4 people not including kids under 3 years old. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at all times.

Parking: There is parking for a maximum of 2 vehicles. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Bed Sizes: Master bedroom: King adjustable frame bed; Living room sleeper sofa: Queen bed.

Security Cameras: For the safety of guests and the home, there are exterior security cameras for the front entry area only.

Heat Source: Central Heating. Master suite (upstairs): wood burning stove. (Firewood and kindling not provided, but you may use any left by prior guests.) Downstairs: Gas stove.

Location: Willowhaven is in a cozy residential neighborhood. It is a mix of permanent residents and vacation rentals, families, working folks, and visitors. To honor this balance, we ask guests to park in the driveway and along the front fence and respect the quiet hours in addition to general family-friendly, residential neighborhood expectations. Stairs: There are 2 steps from the driveway to the deck and one story of stairs inside the house from the main level to the bedroom upstairs. The basement and backyard are accessible via 1 flight of exterior stairs front the deck.

Pet Friendly: Willowhaven welcomes up to 2 well-behaved dogs.

Fencing: The back yard is fenced, but we always recommend checking the fence line before letting your dog off-leash. The deck and parking area are not fenced.

Common Amenities not included: This home does not have air conditioning, but the redwood trees usually keep the house cool in the summer!

Bathtub: Take a soak in the bathtub! The jets are currently out of service, but the tub is still very relaxing.

Proximity to wineries: There are tasting rooms in downtown Guerneville (5.2 mi) and a wine bar in Duncan’s Mills (4.9 mi), and oodles more tasting rooms at vineyards within 10 to 15 miles. We recommend visiting Westside Road to start.

Nearest River Beach: The Monte Rio Public Beach has seasonal boat rentals and concessions (1 mi) and a neighborhood beach within walking distance.

Nearest Ocean Beach: The coastal beaches in Jenner are approx. 10 miles from Willowhaven.

Downtown Monte Rio (shops and small markets): Approx. 1 mi from the house.
