Iconic Union Skyhouse with Hood Canal views

Iconic, one-of-a-kind 1970's PNW home on Alderbrook Creek with Skyroom views of the Hood Canal and Olympic Mountains. Surround yourself in nature with two levels of wrap-around decks, or walk amongst the treetops on the Skyroom balcony. This one-of-a-kind home sleeps 11, with three bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Perfect for a group retreat, family getaway, or reunion!

The climb to the top of the tower is about 98 steps, depending on where you start your climb. At the top, the Skyroom features 8 foot sliders with views to the north, east, and west. Enjoy views from the Skyroom's wrap-around balcony. There is a half bath just below the Skyroom, so you can enjoy the views as long as you'd like!

Renovated with modern comforts and decor, this showstopping house retains many of the original 1970s fixtures and designs that have been preserved to keep this home as unique as when it was built. At over 2,400 square feet, the Skyhouse features several options for gathering indoors or out. All sleeping spaces have doors, and no bedrooms share walls, allowing for privacy even for large groups.

There are two sleeping spaces on the main level, and two sleeping spaces on the lower level.

MAIN LEVEL
* The primary bedroom has a king bed and full sized sofa bed. It is also equipped with a walk-in closet, dresser, TV with Amazon Firestick, and a gas fireplace.
* The guest suite has a queen bed, private exterior entrance, 3/4 bath en suite, TV with Amazon Firestick, and wet bar with a mini fridge and a Keurig.
* The living room, primary bathroom, and kitchen/dining room are also on the main level. No need to use the stairs at all for guests with mobility issues!

LOWER LEVEL
* The "rec room" has a full-sized sleeper sofa and single folding cot. This room has a door for privacy, a wet bar, and a smart TV.
* The lower level bedroom is cozy with a king bed, dresser, and closet.

SKYTOWER
* The first landing in the Skytower has a utility closet and powder room.
* The Skyroom, at the top of the tower, is a lounge space equipped with seating, floor cushions, and a vinyl record player.

Other spaces at the Skyhouse include the spa room, laundry facilities, a lower-level full bath (tub & shower), outdoor picnic table, outdoor lounge area with gas fire table, outdoor wood fire pit, and garage stocked with recreational gear. All are available for guest use!

Fabulous place for a wedding at Alderbrook🤍

We had a wedding weekend with family and friends. The Skyhouse was the perfect location as the rehearsal was at the Alderbrook and the wedding was at Alderbrook Golf & Yacht Club. The house is perfectly located for a group.

A lovely and unique house!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Skyhouse. There is so much space to explore and enjoy in this house! We were in the area for a wedding at the nearby Alderbrook Golf Course, and it this property turned out to be just the right choice. A very clean, well maintained and fun property!

Magical stay at Skyhouse!

We have eyed Skyhouse from afar for many years and were so glad to get to experience it first hand! It was the perfect spot for our mixed group of adults and tweens to celebrate a birthday and enjoy the beautiful sights and outdoor adventures. The house offered everything that we needed, including all sorts of charm that sets it apart from other rental/hotel options. This is definitely a getaway that we’ll remember forever!

Great Family Retreat

The Union Skyhouse did not disappoint! What an awesome experience. The hostess Hallie was very quick to answer any questions we had and ensured we had all we needed to make this a great weekend for my family. There is plenty of space to hangout and enjoy each others company. If you're looking for quite there are plenty of areas to hide yourself away and read a good book. I highly recommend the Union Skyhouse. Will definitely be looking forward to going back.

Nest house

We have stayed several times at the Tower House. We love it. It’s very comfortable and well appointed. Just about everything we need is there! The spa is lovely but I almost always forget to bring my suit. Others in the family have enjoyed it. We love to hike the trails up towards the top of the hill and all the way down to the Lodge. It’s a great place to stay in all seasons.

Awesome!

Perfect home for a big group! Having the rec room, living room, and large kitchen was great for spreading out and not feeling crowded. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, and there were enough toys for my toddler to stay entertained without being cluttered. Loved the kids book selection since we forgot to pack any! And watching the last light on the mountains from the Sky Room was just incredible. It was a fantastic place to stay, hope we can be back again!

Lovely quiet weekend getaway

As one can imagine, the Union Skyhouse is a unique stay. We might just have to come back with another family sometime to use all the space & ammenities. The spa room is a nice touch on a cold, rainy winter day & would be equally enjoyale after a local hike or day paddling around the Hood Canal. Games, books & puzzles all provided by the owners, lent to our cozy indoors weekend getaway. Kitchen was well stocked. The whole house was clean with lots of fun art and funky light fixtures. The Tower was a great spot where my daughter enjoyed putting a record on and dancing around. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Such a unique home!

We had a team reatreat at the Skyhouse and it was absolutely perfect! The way the home is layed out is perfect for big groups. There are different areas to hang out in so if you have some that want quiet time a little earlier than the rest they can. The view from the tower is so beautiful! There is nothing like it. The owners did a great job with decor and keeping the original time period and essence of the home mixed with a little modern day. The home is well stocked with a full kitchen that has anything you would need to cook your own meals. There were plenty of towels and blankets. We had a great time! The location is within walking distance to the Alderbrook resort. There are trails literally across the street. This is definately a home worth staying in. It's worth every penny!
