This is a unique take on a classic B&B. A private driveway and entrance gives you full access to first and second floors of this entire historic home. An optional private breakfast served exclusively for you and your guests in this tranquil house set in a wooded acre is the perfect way to begin your day. Home is fully stocked with items to make our stay comfortable. The lake views from the home are breathtaking and therapeutic. Home is minutes away from all the entertainment and dining the dells area has to offer. Also close to water sports, winter sports and natural beauty to explore in the area. The basement is the private apartment of the owner which has its own driveway and entrance to maintain your privacy during the stay. Come stay and enjoy.

Monica was very attentive and added so many touches that made this trip special. It was in a great location, close to a fun pub, with a beautiful view of the lake and the famous Dells roller coasters in the distance. Great place to share with friends!

Beautiful historic home with great views

Old historic home with lots of character and exceptional hosts. Wonderful breakfasts and very friendly hosts. The beds were all very comfortable. So close to all the places we needed to be, especially near Vennebu Hill where our son's wedding was held. Great gathering place for our entire family to hang out!

Lovely home

Absolutely a wonderfully enjoyable stay. Our family included 13 persons, 12 to 81. We were very much pleased to meet Monica and her daughter who were very accommodating in every way. Highly recommended for a great experience.

A delightful experience

The host goes above and beyond to meet the needs of guests. She made a beautiful spread for breakfast each morning and accommodated a gluten-free allergy with extra food. We enjoyed the lovely front porch and views of the lake.

The space was absolutely amazing! Beautiful views, spacious rooms, and enough beds for everyone! Monica -or should I say Joann ;) - was one of the best hosts I have ever had. Not only did she provide us with everything we needed, but she cooked us an amazing breakfast every morning AND let us play with her dogs. I couldn't have asked for a better place to hold my bachelorette party! I will definetly be returning for future get-togethers!

Great place to stay

Monica, our host, was fantastic. She cooked us breakfast every morning. Be sure to have her cook the "eggs in the nest", they were our favorite. Plenty of room for all of us to stay. There were plenty of rooms to hang out in and spread out. She offers an affordable laundry service that is well worth the cost. We gave her several loads and they were done with speed and care. She gave us tips on things to do and places to eat as well as the best views for the fireworks. Be sure to go on the Upper Dells Boat tour to see Witches gulch. Check out the guest book entry for for 7/06/2025 for a list of the things we did and places we ate. Would highly recommend.

The Hillside B&B is perfect for a relaxing weekend away or spending the day out enjoying the attractions and hanging by the campfire in the evening. There are things to do every season of the year. Waterparks, boat tours, horseback riding, skiing, wineries, casinos, and shopping are just a few of our local attractions. If you prefer outdoor tranquility the rock formation of the Dells, the wildlife, and the turning of the autumn leaves will give you the much-needed break you have been looking for.

Location, Location, Location. This home is in the middle of everything the Dells area has to offer. It is nestled in a pine filled acre in a quiet tranquil area. It is spending your vacation in a historic mansion perched on a hillside. It has a warm welcoming atmosphere that will give you the feeling of being special. There is no where in the Dells quite like it. It is great for Family reunions, bachelorette or bachelor parties, friend getaways, group golf outings and even a wedding family or party stay since it is so close to many wedding venues in the area.

What makes this property unique

The home is not like any in the area. It is a historic home that predates the development of what the Dells area is today. It has charm and character that is rarely found in a rental. It is full stocked with appliances and comforts of home. It is truely a destination that will relax you and give you a sense of tranquility and recharge you so you can really have a true vacation. If you so choose having the most important meal prepared for you and your guest make you feel special and eliminates at least one of the stresses of meal planing during your stay.
