We visited over a holiday weekend and it was a perfect location for us to stay and be close to family. The house was as described in the listing and it was the right size for us. We would stay here again.
we were in town for a family members wedding. We had stayed here in the past and loved the house, location and the manager. Needless to say they did not disappoint. it was another great time in Somerset.
This is a nice house in a good neighborhood. It is very clean and well appointed. If you need a place to stay in Somerset this is a good alternative to a hotel. It is also a short driving distance to many eating establishments.
Stayed at this home to visit family over Thanksgiving. The kitchen was very well equipped which allowed us to do some of the cooking to take to the gathering. Ample space throughout the house, comfortable beds, and very clean. Great communication with the owner, and clear instructions for the check in and check out process.Highly recommended!
Having lived in Pulaski County when I was younger, I was familiar with the north side of town. I always looked at the house and wondered what they were like, since they were older. I am glad I finally got to stay in one. When we arrived, we were super happy with the spacious rooms and comfortable bed. The amenities we better than advertised and the owner was super helpful and responsive. All in all, a comfortable stay in a great house.
Wonderful property for family Christmas!! Super clean, safe, well equipped and comfortable! The fenced yard was a plus for my dog and my grandsons! Tommy was readily available for any questions or needs! Would definitely book here again!!
We traveled into the area for a family event and the house looked nice in photos but it was even better in person. There was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy and not feel crowded, the bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. All the homey touches made it feel cozy and inviting & the owners were great at communicating and very nice. If this place is available the next time I travel through the area it would definitely be somewhere I’d love to stay again!
Absolutely loved this charming, older house. Beautiful area. Nice neighbors. Also has a nice fenced in backyard that is dog friendly. Beautiful maple tree that is starting to lose its leaves makes for a fall delight with a mixture of fall colors. I highly recommend staying here if you have a chance. The property manager is also very friendly and easy to deal with. ♡.
This property is absolutely adorable! I was in town for my father's funeral and needed a place that would be comfortable and peaceful to unwind after making arrangements for my dad. I found it in this property. The home was well stocked with everything my husband and I needed and the communication with the property manager was quick and compassionate. The fenced in back yard was perfect for my 2 dogs. I would definitely recommend this property and will stay there again.
We enjoyed our stay. The home is an old home with some of the quirks of an old home like very low water pressure (one shower at a time) and some challenging lighting in the kitchen and cooling in main bedroom. No closet in the main bedroom, but lots of closets in the other bedrooms. The owners have updated the house very nicely and everything was comfortable and very clean. It is on a bit of a noisy street, but not too bad. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
We were able to bring our dog, which was a big plus.
Our second time here, and we are already planning a third. Very clean, close to downtown, and perfect for our family.

Tommy and Lauren live in Somerset. She's a Nurse Anesthetist, he's a house husband and writer. We've been married 16 years. In those years we've lived in Georgia, Ohio, and North Carolina, but ten years ago we moved to Kentucky and found our home. When we aren't working you can find us behind a book, traveling, or spending time with our pugs.
Why they chose this property
The house is charming. It has plenty of space but still has the intimacy and character you'd want for your friends and family. What makes the property special (beyond all the charm) is it's location. Less that a five minute walk, and you are in front of the down town fountain. Car shows, shows at the Virginia, restaurants... all available without having to jump in your car.
