Graduation gathering

Property owner communicated very well duration of stay, the house it self is very nice could have been cleaned better I feel. Being that we paid gathering fee we thought the patio would be cleaned, we did go ahead and clean it ourselves because we were hosting an event. Other than that, no complaints about the property I would recommend.

Nice Stay

The neighborhood and convenience to shopping is great! The fireplace on the patio was great thing for weather after relaxing from work day. Cleanliness wasn’t great, but we were offered a great accommodation to make up for the complaint immediately after reporting. The offer was greatly appreciated. I was able to set up my work station & enjoy lots of sunlight & great privacy on the patio areas! I’d definitely recommend this listing & specifically request it on my next visit to the area.

We stayed at this home from December 26–28 to celebrate my birthday. Overall, it’s a very nice space and great for hosting small events. The homeowner was very responsive and easy to get in touch with whenever I had questions, which I truly appreciated.A few things to note for future guests:There are a lot of remotes, but not enough labels to know which remote controls what. Clear labeling would be very helpful.I wasn’t sure whether bathroom essentials (soap, etc.) were supposed to be provided. If they are, the supply was very limited.The upstairs bathroom is beautifully remodeled and a great addition; however, the light switches should be updated, and the towels don’t quite match the bathroom’s aesthetic.The “Black Swan” theme makes sense overall with the black accents, but the strongest execution of that theme seemed to be in the upstairs bathroom specifically.Outdoor furniture and games need updating, and the furniture under the back balcony is broken.Clear instructions for the outdoor fire pit and fire lights are needed, including the fact that guests must bring their own propane tanks and firewood this should be communicated ahead of time.Parking is available, but it isn’t the best, especially for larger gatherings.That said, the space itself is really nice, and communication with the homeowner was great throughout the stay. I would stay again, especially now that I know what to expect particularly for a winter booking.

Wedding stay for daughter

Owners were nice! Neighborhood was cute and quite on the front street. Unfortunately the home was not cleaned overall in many areas especially the old carpets and floors. They very worn down along with furniture. Plus, many items were not working and or needed replacing or repairs. Such as living room plasma/tv screen part of the screen was not displaying. Hopefully in the future the house is updated for next visitors.

Beautiful Setting, Cleanliness Needs Improvement

Firstly, let me start by saying that the Black Swan is a beautifully cultivated experience. My fiancé and I particularly enjoyed the spa tub, the inviting fireplaces in both the bathroom and living room, and the charming layout with an upstairs deck connected to a lower deck by stairs. From the decorative fans to the overall aesthetic, the house is truly beautiful.However, I must mention that it wasn't as clean as we had hoped. The house had a lived-in feel, with only a minimal surface cleaning done to accommodate guests. Additionally, there was an unpleasant smell of cigarette smoke lingering in the air. I would highly recommend bringing in a professional cleaner to address these issues.Despite the cleanliness concerns, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Black Swan. We just wish the cleanliness matched the beauty of the property.

Disappointed

I booked this home last minute to surprise my father-in-law, hoping to use the grill and patio area for family relaxation. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I found the grill unusable, and the patio furniture was not cleaned. I had to buy a new grill for our cookout.The overall cleanliness of the house was disappointing. The host claimed the grill had been used by previous guests without issues, which seemed inconsistent with its condition. She also stated she had performed a walkthrough before our arrival and that the property was clean, but I discovered sticky, stained floors, stained comforters, and dishes with leftover food. Additionally, there was an old dirty sock on the bedroom floor.While I appreciated the cleaning supplies she provided, they should not have been necessary if the property had been properly maintained. To add to the frustration, she attempted to charge an extra fee for a “party,” claiming neighbors reported 8-10 cars, which was untrue; we had only four cars and no more than ten adults present.The house itself is beautiful, but it needs significant TLC. The oven glass is broken, there’s a hole in wall in the bathroom and broken tissue holder. I was disappointed with the experience, even though the host offered an additional day or late checkout, I was eager to leave. Overall, it wasn't the worst stay, but improvements are definitely needed. On a positive note, the upstairs shower was excellent!
