Located 1 mile from beach and 1/4 mile from shops & restaurants. One block from beach trolley stop. A beach parking pass is included. Community pools, tennis, playgrounds & gym available for a fee. No Smoking. No pets.

A popular Windjammer style home, 4 bedroom - 2 full baths with 2 BR and 1 bath on each side make this a convenient set-up for 2 families in the wonderful community of Bethany West. Great location, walking to Wawa, Italian restaurant, a great diner, Chinese take out, shopping. Bike or walk to Beach. It's on a quaint trolley line run by town of Bethany Beach. Also you will get a beachside parking permit to park in town with access to 2 Swimming Pools and 8 tennis courts in this enjoyable Bethany Beach community. Less than 1 mile to the sand. There is a Microwave, 2 Color TVs , and one DVD. charcoal grill. Free private high speed Wi-Fi available. Cul-de-sac location.

A new boardwalk ties the driveway with both front entrances and also to the outside shower. Bare feet from beach to house :-). Brand new air-conditioning and heating system- March 2013. New flooring and outdoor showers - 2016. New windows - 2017

Linens are not included and you will need to bring linens and towels for your use. There is also a linen service company in Bethany if you prefer.

The recreation fee for using the community amenities (pools and gym) is $20/person/week or $6/person/day or $ $160/person/season. This is charged by the community and can be changed without notice.

This property is located in Town of Bethany Beach and charges a 7% rental tax.

This house is non-smoking and no pets allowed. If any smoking or owner unapproved animals are discovered in the home during your rental period your security deposit will be forfeited and additional cleaning fees may be imposed. However when owner occupies they have a non-shedding Golden Doodle sometimes with them.

Lovely Home - Had a wonderful time!

Great time, great location, great owner!

We contacted the owner with some minor questions, and he was SO HELPFUL! The home is a beach house helping to push you outside but providing plenty of comfort. Trolley stop is close. Wawa just as close. Extremely family friendly. We couldn't have been more pleased! Strong Wifi. Plenty of channels. Parking pass (resident's). Pool and tennis court access (fee for pool).

Quiet and Private

We loved the privacy of this house - lots of trees and on a quiet cul-de-sac, but still very walkable to stores and restaurants. Bike path connects to curl-de-sac. Two pools. Very sunny, south facing rooms with upgraded, fully equipped kitchen. Beach parking passes worked great. It was a relaxing, comfortable vacation.

We choose this rental as it was all on one floor and we did not want my dad to have to do any stairs. In that respect it was great. The back screened in porch smelled musty and of cat urine-no one could sleep out there-we tried keeping the doors open and fan going to air it out. Found the shower rugs in the dryer after we had gone and bought some. Cobwebs were in the bathrooms and overall not super clean, found half full boxes of cereal and other food items shoved in the back of one of the cupboards and some of the typical cooking/storage containers were not available. We liked the pool and tennis courts, but it was not a bare foot walk to the beach. We did use the passes that we were given. Then checking out was a joke-no one was at the offices, so we called and they said to just drop the keys in the box-I did not like personally handing them to some one in charge. Not sure I would recommend, I know we will not stay here again. Love the area but this did not meet our expectations.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your thoughtful response. I wish we had known your concerns when they came up and I am deeply sorry for any disappointment. We take pride in providing families a home away from home and try to keep the highest standards of being responsive on the rare occasion when issues come up. (This is our first negative report) As a result of your feedback we have accomplished the following to prevent your experience from being repeated by our other friends/families: -Musty Back Porch: This month we had the crawl space completely redone. We replaced the main beam in the house and several insulation bats that looked old. We also replaced the moisture liner / barrier and installed a sump system to draw out any ground moisture and pump it away from the home. The overall goal was to reduce the humidity (which worked :-). We also replaced soffit and roofing on the beach supply closet near the outdoor shower to go along with the new roof from 2013. Shower Rugs: We have an on call house keeper that we feel does a great job and have asked her to make sure the bathroom rugs are not left in the dryer and replaced accordingly. Cobwebs: Yuck! This one is a pet peeve of ours too and needless to say we had that taken care of immediately and asked that the corners in ALL ceilings be added to the cleaning punch list. Cooking Storage Containers and Cooking Stuff: More? You got em. Sharp knives for cooking?... got them. Check out process - We have spoken to our property manager and they are not sure what the exact circumstances were however they man the office 12 hours a day and are happy to arrange off hours too. When you call- you'll see, our managers are awesome to work with!

Great value

We enjoyed our stay here very much, home was clean and well kept, convenient enough to the beach with parking passes and nice pools (including very good and cheap swim lessons for the kids). House layout with 2 bedrooms and 1 bath on each side was very good for our group. We'd definitely stay again.
