10 Minute Walk to Notre Dame Stadium - 1st Class Accommodations - Updated 2024

**Our small community will be replacing everybody's patios this summer. We expect the project to be finished end of August, beginning of Sept. There will be no patio and certainly some construction noise during this renovation***

We have been on VRBO since 2010 and our reviews speak volumes! We are ideally set up for multiple families or multiple generations who want to be all together under one roof and not in different hotel rooms. This 3,000 square foot townhouse is the perfect entertaining venue for out-of-town guests. The townhouse received a face lift this past winter. New furniture, window treatments and lighting to name a few. The big horn sheep stayed as well as the Notre Dame themed basement. Most importantly - it's got location, location, location! Please refer to the map.

**** Please know that all significant dates including Graduation, home football games and JPW are priced higher than other dates at $3,000 per night with a 2 night minimum***. From time to time the dates of these events changes or the dates are released before I can update my calendar. *****

The townhouse is located across the street from the University by the soccer and lacrosse fields and is literally a 10 minute walk to the football stadium. The immediate area around the townhouse offers several restaurants, Martin's Grocery Store, Starbucks, and Eddy Street Commons.

There are four bedrooms - two rooms with king beds, a third room with two sets of bunkbeds (the bottom beds are doubles), and the fourth room has a set of bunkbends (the bottom bunk is a double) and a queen bed. There is a lot of sleeping space.

We hope you will take the time to read our reviews. We host quite a few guests for events other than home football games - including weddings at Sacred Heart, ND and SMC class reunions, retreats and out of town family visiting relatives in South Bend.

While we have listed this property as not suitable for kids, let me just say that kids are welcome but there are no child safety locks on any cabinets or the stairs.

Stayed at property for the Zach Bryan concert at Notre Dame. Property is in a great location for any activity at Notre Dame or downtown. We walked to stadium, book store, grotto and restaurants/shops. Property has plenty of good tv spaces for watching games or movies. Parking in front makes it convenient. Owner was easy to work with and helpful.

Perfect home for ND visits

Three classmates and spouses stayed at this property for Notre Dame's reunion weekend and it was the perfect spot for us to begin and end each day. There are ample beds and the room layout is great and provides privacy. Furnishings and amenities ensure it feels like home. Location is also excellent - close enough to walk to campus.

Winter Classic Stay

Football weekend

Loved this property. Would happily stay there every time I go to a ND football game with my group. Excellent location and easy walk to stadium. Comfortable bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms for a large group.

Brigid is awesome

We rented the VRBO for a family wedding. The setting was perfect for having an area for the entire family to gather each day (vs. three or four hotel rooms). The place was clean, close to the Notre Dame campus and Brigid made the whole process very easy. We will stay here again the next time we have an ND event.

Easter at ND

Everything about the house was great. Communications with Brigid was easy and prompt. Check in and check out was simple. Location was perfect - close to campus. We were 2 families visiting students at ND for Easter and there was plenty of room for all ages. Definitely recommend this rental.

Family Reunion

This was a beautiful place for our family gathering. Great amenities, comfortable beds, wonderful layout. The owner was very easy to work with and very accommodating. The furnishings were top of the line. Easily accommodated our group of 13. So much space. Anything you could ask for was available. The young adults loved the deck and spent a lot of time outside. Will definitely go back again!!

ND friends weekend

This was the perfect location for our group of ND alumni to stay for a weekend. It was close to campus and had plenty of room for 4 couples to stay. For meals there were 12 of us and the table and kitchen were big enough for us to all be together. We really made use of the bar are and the outdoor deck. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable and many amenities were available. The owner was very easy to work with and every one enjoyed staying here together very much. I would highly recommend this townhouse and would definitely stay here again.

Blue and Gold Game Weekend

I've stayed at this rental two times and the stay has been absolutely delightful on both occassions. This spot is a fantastic property, fully updated, plenty of space and bathrooms, and close walking distance to campus. The added security with garage parking and gated complex is a bonus! Brigid was wonderful to work with. She was extremely responsive, provides directions to the rental and step-by-step for easy entry and access. The house is stocked with essentials for your convenience and the long-distance hosts are gracious! Highly recommended for South Bend stays!

Notre Dame game weekend

We have stayed in several VRBO properties. This one definitely ranks at the top! The home is immaculately clean, well equipped, and beautifully furnished! Too many amenities to list. Brigid's communication was so helpful. And, our visiting UC Bearcats bringing home a win was the icing on the cake! Can not say enough wonderful things! Highly recommend!

Fabulous Wedding weekend gathering spot

This town home had everything we needed for our family of 10 to gather and celebrate a wedding. The location and gated community can not be beat for anything Notre Dame. Beds a plenty and oh so comfy! The upstairs living room and bar area was the perfect spot for the stylists who came for the bride and her 10 bridesmaids. We held a brunch on Sunday for 40 people and everyone was comfortable and we didn't even use the living space in the basement. Brigid was on top of everything and always available. Whatever your ND activity is this is the town home for you!

Great townhome adjacent to ND campus

We (3 college buddies & I) stayed at this beautiful, well equipped, large 3 story (plus finished lower level) townhome for our 40th reunion. Situated literally 150 yds from the eastern edge of the ND campus, its location is ideal for walking around the beautiful campus as well as going to Eddy St. for drinks and/or dining. Once there, no car is needed. There is plenty of room to spread out; a great kitchen and comfortable furniture in all the rooms; there is also a nice deck outside the kitchen. The owner is very nice to work with. Instructions with alarms, etc were very clear and easy to execute. I'd definitely stay there again.

Luxury Living in South Bend!

First time staying in this awesome townhouse and we will definitely be back! Place is huge (3 stories plus the finished basement!), fully stocked with any and all accessories you might need and looks brand new! Located a short 10 minute walk to campus, this unit also comes with four parking spaces. We had more than enough room for our group of 10. The gathering room features a big screen television and a wet bar! Brigid is great to work with, very responsive and flexible. This townhouse sets a new standard for football weekend accommodations!

Are you are looking for beautiful and spacious accommodations to host family or friend events? Look no further. You have found what I considered perfect! One of the most beautiful homes I have ever been in, you will feel spoiled, have plenty of space to spread out in and have anything & everything you need within the comfort of a home. If Notre Dame is the reason for your visit, you are within a short walk or quick drive to campus...very convenient indeed! The homeowners are wonderful & very easy to get in touch with regarding questions. We will most definitely stay again. We highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed!

Wedding Weekend

This was my first time renting with VRBO and my experience was fantastic. From my correspondence with Brigid to our actual visit and stay it all surpassed my expectations. My 3rd daughter of five children was married at the Basilica the weekend of the October 21st. We are a close family and wanted to stay together for the wedding weekend. The house was magnificent, very spacious for a family of 9 adults and 3 children. All beds were very comfortable and plenty of areas to gather as we prepared for the wedding and to reminisce after the celebration. I would highly recommended the property for football weekends or any family gatherings. It is close to campus and a very safe area. Having spent a lot of weekends in hotels during the years while my daughters were attending ND itt is by far the best way to visit the campus and enjoy time with family and friends during your visit.

My husband attended UND and I attended SMC. I grew up in South Bend as did my husband's father. Both because of family ties and ties to the University, South Bend will always be a destination for us. As soon as we saw the location of this townhouse, we knew we were going to be happy. Because of our kids' activities, we cannot make it to most home football games and decided to look into renting our townhouse when we cannot be there.

Why they chose this property

I am from South Bend and attended SMC. My husband attended UND. South Bend will always be a destination for us. We finally decided to buy this townhouse based on location, location, location! If you are attending events on Notre Dame campus, you can pretty much leave your car in the driveway and walk!

What makes this property unique

When we have used the townhouse, we enjoy the proximity to the campus. We walk across the street and we are on the campus. We can walk easily to the ACC or the stadium for events. We have also enjoyed walking around the lake on campus or heading to the bookstore. It's also fun to walk to Eddy Street Commons and not have to worry about parking.
