Peaceful Stay

Restful and quiet accommodation, close to Siesta Key beach and easy routes to surrounding towns. Just right to enjoy the Gulf water visit but avoid the crowded hotels. Would recommend to any couple looking for sun and fun with a peaceful place to stay and relax. Shadow is the perfect host :-)

Adorable

The place was very cute with lots of outdoor space to enjoy sun and fun. Loved the location as it was close to the beach and shopping. Teresa provided all that we needed. Great stay!

Weekend retreat

Very nice bedroom and bathroom leading out to lanai that is shared with the home owners. Gorgeous view from the lanai over looking the canal.

I love the neighborhood so quiet with that old Florida feel . Our suite was bright , fresh , well designed with a very comfortable bed . The screened in patio had a sitting , dinning and little kitchenette area all overlooking the well manicured yard w / a pool and dock . So looking forward to return , met the owner lovely lady . To all its the place to see and stay .

Theresa and John were amazing host. They were Very accommodating. It’s an immaculate property. The pool was amazing and the view is breathtaking (especially at sunset). Location is so convenient with lots of stores and restaurants close by. Shadow (lil dog) is super friendly and likes to come say hi and hang out.

Beautiful outside area

Enjoyed our stay in Sarasota. Not sure how it was advertised, but it is just an indoor bedroom and bathroom. You enter through the bathroom to get into the house which is a little unusual. There is additional outdoor seating on the back screened-in porch with a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator - it's just outside which can get a bit warm later in the day.

Relaxing pool with a view

Lovely corner of this home turned into rental space with full access to a spacious screened back porch and open pool. A fact sheet/instructions page would be helpful to navigate expectations. Owners do have a sweet dog, if allergies are an issue. Easy access to Sarasota. Siesta Key is close with incredible powder sand beaches but near impossible to find parking after 9am. Thanks for having us!

Relaxing and invigorating

My friend and I spent 10 days here from April 12 to 21 2024 weather was exceptional For my 70th birthday, I had come to check out the area, especially all the beaches if I wanted to return with grandkids. I hadn’t done a lot of preplanning, but was able to make arrangements on the fly with Google and Theresa‘s suggestions. We fell into the pattern of early morning coffee by the water then going out for a walk either in the neighborhood or a local park coming back for lunch then leaving in the late afternoon to check out beaches or nearby towns,or 2 state parks close by since I am a camper, I loved the outdoor kitchen and eating outdoors, especially later evening with the magical lighting on the property by the water I liked that there were bikes and kayaks and heated pool available I did take advantage of the free trolley rides on the islands which gave me a break from driving ! plenty of Publix Aldi Trader Joe’s, Marshalls dollar tree close by The hosts were friendly, but not intrusive

Missing Important Details

My family and I made a reservation a few days before the check in. In the check in instructions the owner mentioned that she had a dog to please remember to close the gate so the dog would not get out. I immediately informed the owner that we could not stay at the property because my son is allergic to dog hair if she could please not have the dog during our stay. She insisted that the dog will be staying at the dog house. She called me and before ending our conversation, she agreed to a full refund which she then changed to a fee for preparation when contacted by Vrbo. This was decided after many calls to Vrbo, who tried contacting her and was able to communicate with her after multiple calls. There was no understanding The only way that we could not have enjoyed our vacation and the amenities offered . We would have to stay in the guess room which she stated the dog did not go into. She would tell me one thing over the phone and another to VRBO. Make sure you communicate with her through the messages only. This was a headache and a waste of time making phone calls and writing emails to Vrbo and we are still waiting for the partial refund for a stay that we did not even checked in because our son’s wellbeing and health is our priority. Very disappointing!!

The location was great! Right on the water and close to the beaches. Theresa and John were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed their sweet dog, Shadow. The bed was comfortable and there were all the needed amenities in the lovely bathroom. We enjoyed the outside Tiki kitchen and loved sitting on the couch on the lani looking out on the river. A special highlight was using the kayaks to explore the nearby mangroves and some of the Intracoastal Waterway. It was a relaxing time and we would love to return here when we are back in the area.
