About Ketut Jati
There is no place else on earth where you can be so submerged in culture and so welcomed, and eat so well. Satori's goal is to share our love of all things Balinese, especially the lovely people. We will be more than happy to assist with any travel needs, day trips, activity tickets or recommendations. Enjoy this special place! Onsite Villa Manager Ketut and his wife Wayan will take superb care of you!
Ketut Jati purchased this Villa in 2008
Why Ketut Jati chose Kelusa
In Bali there was never a choice other than Ubud, with all its art and culture, galleries, and sensational restaurants. Location, location, location...a 10 minute walk into town, yet located in a serene and clean green belt of rice fields where cars are not allowed. You will feel instantly at home here at Satori, surrounded by traditional art and Balinese antiques, and we are thrilled to share our corner of rice field paradise with you!
What makes this Villa unique
The views will take your breath away the moment you first set foot on the property. Nights are heavenly--just the right amount of breeze--and unbelievable sunrises. You can roll out of bed and be at Yoga class in two minutes, or stay home in tranquility and do nothing peacefully. Convenient to all, close enough to walk to everything, but far enough away from crowds that you can just watch Balinese life go by. Be involved as much as you wish...Balinese people are very warm and welcoming and love to share their culture and ceremonies! Sacred Mt. Agung can be seen on a clear day, as well as all 5 other mountains.

We are 3 couples from Canada and we spent a week in this lovely villa. Breakfasts were wonderful.
The view from the upper bedroom was spectacular as we were surrounded by rice paddies. We cooled off in the pool after long days of walking and sightseeing. Restaurants were within walking distance to town about 15 min. down the road from the villa. Wayan and ketut take very good care of any of your needs. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone interested in staying in Ubud.
Charming villa set in an idyllic location, literally amongst rice fields. Magical !
This was a reunion of old friends, from England, Hong Kong and Japan.
We have a relaxing, calming, enjoyable ten nights at Satori, Ubud. The weather was hot and humid in early Nov, the pool appreciated on return
from outings and at all other time whoever the fancy called. I missed the healthy freshly prepared breakfast by Wayan already! We only booked two tours, One sea based; 8 hours finished with dinner on the beachand, the other mountain based; 12 hours up and down winding narrow roads, the hot spring and the two lakes view are fantastic. The temples, museums, Balinese Dance, their wood / textile / silver centres, all
Interesting. We only have Balinese food, love the Nasi Goreng, gado gado, Babi guling, bubuh injin and the delicious Bebe - smoked duck!
The perfect getaway and amazing location in Ubud.
This was my second trip to the Ubud area of Bali. From past experience I knew I wanted to be able to walk into town, plus I want to be able to get out of the hustle and bustle, of Ubud and in a more calming area with views of rice patties.
Villa Satori met this wish, and then some. This villa was the perfect Ubud get away for my group (5 guys). The property is amazing, a show stopper, the main house and the guesthouse are well taken care of, with a nice decor. Pool is great for a dip at the start or end of your day. We started just about every day with the staff making a wonderful breakfast, while we sat out on the terrace listening to the roosters, frogs and ducks starting their day. The house, grounds and staff, nothing but positive.
They are also willing to go the extra mile for you. Leaving there was a misunderstanding with the driver I arrange to drive us back to Seminyak, they stepped in and arranged a new driver, and got our luggage into the van faster than you can blink an eye (mind you their moving the luggage down the hill on a scooter). I highly recommend Villa Satori in Ubud.
Lovely home in tranquil setting
We loved Villa Satori! We were a family of 6, ages ranging 12 to 70, and everyone in the family loved the place. The house is in a lovely, tranquil setting, with lush green all around - instantly puts you in holiday mood! The house is tastefully decorated, and the pool, outdoor seating and balcony are spectacular. Wayan's breakfasts were great, and being able to have an in-villa massage was a nice plus! The last stretch of the walk to the villa was a bit tiring (esp. as part of it is steep) for my parents (we knew about it from the description, but hadn't paid much attention), and Ubud was more crowded than we had expected, but a fantastic experience overall. and we would def. recommend this place to any friends traveling to Bali.
Great house. Peaceful and relaxing. Loved the pool
Was a great time. We could not have been treated any better by the staff, wayan especially. A sweet personality , helpful, kind and a great cook! Would reccommend to everyone.
Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful Satori Villas Bali experience! We love to welcome guests from around the world and let them see firsthand the warmth and hospitality of the Balinese people. Satori makes you feel instantly at home...as do Wayan and Ketut. We look forward to welcoming you again!
Love This Villa
My husband and I spent 6 days at Villa Satori. We cancelled all plans the first three days so we could spend it at the villa. We really enjoyed our time here. Here are a few things you should know:
There are two bedrooms in the main house and one in the house next to the pool. The 3rd bedroom has it's own bathroom and shower. There are air conditioners in all main rooms. You need only run a/c in the bedrooms at night. It's not necessary to do so during the day.
Staff are wonderful. I strongly recommend booking excursions through staff. We took the recommendation for mountain biking and rafting and both were great. We also asked Wayan if she would cook us a Balinese dinner on one of the nights. The experience was wonderful. You should plan to pay for both the food and for Wayan's time in making the dinner. It's worth it knowing you'd spend that same money at a nearby restaurant. We also asked if we could make an offering to God along with Wayan and she showed us how.
The area is wonderful. The villa is in an area where cars aren't allowed and the only vendors are restaurants and locals that sell their own products to the few that walk by. However, it is walking distance from Ubud Centre which is busy with traffic, people, and tons of shops and restaurants.
The pool is wonderful and the views from the master bedroom and dining room are outstanding.
Finally, I strong recommend reading the information that Kasey sends you. It's really helpful and super informative.
You are right at the beginning of the popular Juwuk Manis ('Sweet Orange') rice fields walks nearby. The villas are within a 2 minute walk to Yoga and meditation classes, and an easy 10 minute stroll down a country village lane with shops, galleries, and restaurants to the center of Ubud and all it has to offer. Our 5 exquisite villas within 3 minute walk of Villa Satori are ready to welcome guests! Bring your family reunion or large gathering--we can accommodate up to 35+ people!
