Hi, we are the owners, John and Carla. We just celebrated 10 years of marriage! John is originally from Maine and Carla is from South Florida. We live in North FL and love to go to the mountains whenever we get the chance! We love the beautiful scenery, tubing, hiking to waterfalls, horseback riding, shopping and many shows.
Carla purchased this cabin in 2005
We chose this property since it is close to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and many other attractions yet it is in a very peaceful area. The cabin has awesome mountain views all around. It is also not far from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park where you can tube, kayak, fish and hike.
Our cabin has three bedrooms, each with it's own bathroom. There are two levels with two decks on back to enjoy the amazing views. It is a very quiet, peaceful area.
"We really enjoyed staying at your cabin. It was very clean, comfortable and located well to get just about anywhere in the Smokies. It is decorated so nice, has a beautiful view and "comfy" beds as well....had two beautiful days riding motorcycles in the Smokies, it is a yearly event for us. Hopefully we can rent your cabin again next year as we enjoyed it so much."
We enjoyed our visit to Dancing Bears Cabin. The cabin was nice and met all of our needs. We appreciate the prompt response that the owners gave to our questions. The view is gorgeous and it is so peaceful up there. The only downside to our trip was seeing the devastation caused by the recent fires. We will be back! Thanks for a great trip.
We had a wonderful time. The views are spectacular. Loved the fire place. Very reasonably priced.
We loved the cabin-very peaceful great view..... Loved the swing. The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed and more! Overall a great place to stay!
We enjoyed our stay at the Dancing Bears Cabin. The location was great. Very quiet, 5 cabins behind a locked gate, off the main road. Nice view. Clean and comfortable.
The outside of the cabin needs some cosmetic work, but that just makes it rustic. The décor was nice. The appliances were kind of dated, but worked for the most part.
Again, I think it was a good value for the money. Not as nice as some, but not as expensive.
I would stay there again.
The cabin was exactly as pictured. Everything was very clean, and the cabin was decorated very nice. The view of the mountains was beautiful, and the cabin was easy to find. It was great not being around a lot of traffic but we were not far from everything including grocery stores. We enjoyed the cabin so much that we are planning on going back.
Cabin met our expectations. Three bedrooms and baths were perfect accommodations for three couples. Liked having washer/dryer available. Good views from the two decks, loved the porch swing! Just an FYI - Could use a couple of new skillets in kitchen. Ones available were not very good shape.
Our cabin is in a great location close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg with lots of things to do and has awesome views. The Smoky Mountain National Park is less than two miles away and has beautiful scenery with hiking trails and falls to see. The little Greenbriar school is close and interesting to see as well. The must see in the National Park is Cade's Cove! You can also go horse back riding near Cade's Cove. Not far away is Gatlinburg where there is Ripley's Aquarium and Ober Gatlinburg! Dollywood and Dixie Stampede are great places for the family. Cherokee, NC also has lots of history and the show 'Unto these Hills' in the amphitheater. Lots of things to do!
