Located just three short blocks from the French Quarter on Pauger Street, this Creole cottage, built in 1829 has a total of four SPACIOUS rooms. A feature of Creole cottages is that there are NO HALLWAYS, and all rooms are connected. Street parking is available but we cannot always guarantee it.

The first room features a queen-size sofa sleeper which provides extra sleeping space. The original 189 year old long leaf pine floors have been refinished to add to the beauty of the place. There are 2 reading/conversation areas, and a nice fluffy shaggy rug. A new window unit with both AC/heat controls will keep the room cozy all year round.

The second room is the large bedroom with a TALL king-size bed (ironed sheets and pillow cases), armoire, bedside tables, cable TV, bedside rugs and the same beautiful flooring. PLEASE NOTE: Please help us maintain our lower prices. No color hairspray or fresh dye is allowed on the bed - it stains the sheets and covers. Thank you.

The third room has a round dining table/chairs, an iMAC (with WI-FI), AC unit, and a small reading nook.

NOTE: NO GUESTS ARE ALLOWED TO STAY OVERNIGHT WITHOUT PAYMENT.

The kitchen is a bright green color to "wake you up" in the morning. Small appliances (toaster/oven, microwave and coffeemaker) are furnished along with coffee and tea. The full-size stainless steel refrigerator has an icemaker. The kitchen sink has built-in drain boards and has been stripped down to the original finish.

The bathroom's tile floor and shower have been redone. Toiletries and towels, along with bathrobes will be provided. A hair dryer is part of those amenities.

Outside the kitchen is a private courtyard with lush tropicals, table and chairs, and a large private CLOTHING OPTIONAL hot tub. THE TUB IS FOR PAYING GUESTS ONLY - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Being part of our home, this SMOKE FREE/CANDLE FREE rental unit is ADULT ONLY (Gay Owned, Straight Friendly). ALL PERSONS MUST BE 25 YEARS OR OLDER. SORRY, WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE CHILDREN.

The best !

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at Ron and Marks place a number of times. Actually I can't imagine staying anywhere else, while visiting New Orleans. They are the perfect hosts and have gone out of their way for us many times. With our recent stay we had hurricane issues with our dates. Ron was so helpful working this out for us. The location is perfect, close to Frenchmans and great little neighborhood restaurants for breakfast. If you desire the Bourbon St scene , its a short walk. Thanks again guys for the great stay.

Luxurious yet comfortable, Secluded yet Convenient, Just Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We can't say enough about this place that hasn't already been said. Thank you so much Ron and Mark for making our anniversary trip everything we wanted it to be!

The furnishings are beyond fabulous and wonderful! The bed is huge and comfortable and we haven't slept so peacefully anywhere, even at home. Starting and ending the day in the steamy, backyard jacuzzi oasis was just heaven! One feels so cut off from everyone and yet not closed off as the greenery around you gives you the feeling of being in huge lush garden. Plush robes awaited us when we exited but sitting au natural in the sweet night air to dry was even better.

We stopped for coffee and fixin's on the way in, cuz we just can't get started without that, but we didnt' need to, as they had thought of that too. Plenty of tips on where to go, even had brochures and maps of local spots as well as fans to keep us cool as we ventured out.

We never knew they were there but knew we could get them if need be, but everything was taken care of, so it wasn't necessary.

You cannot go wrong with this place amd you'll want to come back, of course, you won't want to leave either.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

When I booked this delightful home, much of it was based on the previous reviews, 5 stars. Plus it had a private courtyard and hot tub which was wonderful in the morning and when we arrived back "home" after a very full day. We were greeted by Mark who took time to explain the area and really great eateries. Later we met Ron who also spent time with us. They are very welcoming and so accommodating. We needed bandaids for blisters and Ron ran them right over. We loved the area, felt very safe and walked mostly everywhere. That's why we got blisters. We took the Creole Queen paddle boat cruise and enjoyed Wendel, our guide. We went on the walking tour of the Garden District and cemetery. I would highly recommend it, so informative! Then we took the trolley car from one to the other and that was a great way to see the archeturture, spare our feet and inexpensive. Another great experience was New Orleans School of Cooking. Yummy and entertaining. The Frenchmans market was a nice place to purchase souvenirs. Now, the food! Don't plan on dieting, because it will be challenging. We had a awesome jazz brunch at The Court of Two Sisters. Would totally recommend it. We ate so many delishous foods at the local restaurants, but we always split three ways. That way we could taste more .

Everything about our trip was fabulous, from the amazing shotgun home with the comfortable beds and friendly hosts, to the tours, the food, beverages and the friendly people. We would highly recommend staying at this delightful home. You will be very happy! Thank you Ron and Mark!

Close to the Quarter w/ All the Comforts of Home - Clean, Cozy, Comfy

  • 5 of 5

Ron was fantastic! He gave us a quick once over of their lovely shotgun style home (much larger than the pictures reveal) and introduced us to some of its charming quirks. After a quick tour, he went over a map of the area and gave us some suggestions for our stay.

We wanted for nothing in this rental. The AC was cool, the hot tub was hot and the bed was probably one of the most comfortable that I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping on. Close to so many shops/attractions/bars/restaurants - my sister and I walked everywhere with ease. Both in our late twenties, we were out rather late, but always felt safe walking "home" and fell asleep without being disturbed by any outside noise.

Ron & Mark helped make our stay one of the best we've had visiting a new city. After such an awesome experience, I am afraid to stay anywhere else for fear that it won't live up to my expectations. They have really set the bar high and thought of basically everything to make your stay pleasant.

Perfect Once Again

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed here quite a few times and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. The house is beautiful and very well located for bars, restaurants and clubs. Ron and Mark are two of the nicest people you could wish to meet and they make every stay special. I could go on and on or you could read my previous reviews or you could save yourself the bother and just book this place now - you will not be disappointed.

Perfect Stay

  • 5 of 5

I have to say that I am so glad that I stayed here. My stay was perfect. I have no complaints at all. I loved the look and lay out of the home. The unique handmade bed is beautiful and I slept like a baby. This is in walking distance to Bourbon St. You really are near the French Quarter.

Ron was so helpful. He never bothered us, but he let us know that if we needed anything that he would be available. He was very patient and flexible with our arrival. He gave us maps and fabulous dining suggestions that we did try and love.

You will not be disappointed. There is a hot tub and a great outside patio to enjoy as well. I loved having kitchen appliances and a washer and dryer as well.

Thank you for a wonderful stay!
