Why The Owner chose Three Rivers

We have enjoyed this property as a 'family compound' since we purchased it in 2000. We love this area and this property is simply a slice of heaven.

What makes this house unique

We enjoy each of the unique seasons the area has to offer. We enjoy swimming and floating on the river during the summer...there is no better place to be found. Regardless of the season, the year-round flow of the river is absolutely beautiful and relaxing.

Outdoor Beauty Makes Up for Indoor Issues

  • 5 of 5

The views, the colors, the untouched beauty of the space outside was simply stunning. There were little issues with the property like a flickering light, the carpet has lots of spots, it's hard to unlock door and similar minor issues but these problems pale in comparison to the sheer beauty of the property. Unforgettable.

Note there is a little house next door which kind of spooked us as we arrived at night. When we were there we noticed a side door to the little house was propped open so anything or anyone could get in there. The owner said it's used for storage but he never responded to our concerns that the door was open. Kind of creepy but we felt safe in our large group and the property was just amazingly beautiful outside. We drove one day to Sequoia Natl Park and it was gorgeous. About an hour to get to the General Sherman tree. We also visited Lake Kalewah. Super pretty. And just spent time exploring the river and enjoying the property and the town. Thanks so much!!

Peaceful beautiful secluded on the water getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is a secluded property on the water of a good flowing creek where you can watch birds, frogs, and fish going by wipe reading a book after a day of hiking.

The owner was very communicative, and staying there was stress free.

The house had a early 70s feel to it (likely built around then), so felt dated, but in a good way.

Only complaint is the hot water runs out FAST, so do quick showers.

Anyways, great base of operations for exploring the national parks.

Amazing riverfront retreat. Very private and filled with the sounds of rushing river.

  • 4 of 5

The house has big picture windows overlooking the river. Very picturesque. Although the town is 10 mins away you feel like you are on your own little island of paradise. The house itself is a mid century modern feel. It is clean, has lots of light from big picture windows, air conditioning and well stocked kitchen and outdoor grill. The only things it did not have was a regular queen or king master bedroom bed. (There are two single beds pushed together which were not comfortable). No washer dryer. And no comfortable outdoor seating. The owner is very nice And responsive to emails. He was also very responsive to our suggestions so we hope the next time we visit there will be a master bed! Truly a wonderful place to retreat and relax. If your kids love nature they will be in heaven Highly recommend this place.

Peaceful stay along the riverfront

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay by the riverfront in Three Rivers. The atmosphere was peaceful and inviting. The house is a bit rustic-- older appliances (dishwasher didn't work and no washer/dryer) and mattresses, but it was perfect for our needs. The living space opens up to a beautiful porch overlooking the river- so pretty and relaxing. It was a great place to return to after an intensive day of hiking in Sequoia or Kings Canyon. We would definitely stay here again!. It really feels like a lovely escape from the crowds and hustle of the more touristy areas
