Property at Great Location

Right next to the Gondola, the best location you can get - facility is very nice as it is a standard Marriott Vacation Home.

Great location

My husband and I booked a two bedroom unit where they were two separate units but connected. The view was of the pool and hot tub. It was spacious and convenient. The only issue I had was the stairwell was on the other side of the smaller unit so I could hear the door early morning hours a few times which was a little annoying.

Awesome vacation in South Lake Tahoe

We had an awesome vacation in South Lake Tahoe. We had a two bedroom villa and it exceeded expectations. It was spacious and comfortable for my family. The location was convenient and the Marriott property had a ton of amenities surrounding it including a heated pool and video game den. There's also a skating rink and a movie theater in the surrounding shopping area. Working with Ana was great; Ana was prompt and friendly. The Marriott staff was also nice and helpful. I would highly recommend working with Ana and look forward to future vacations here.

Overall great place

Check in starts at 4pm and your rooms may not be ready at check-in but check up is at 10am. It doesn’t make sense. Overall great location and nice staff.

Nice place, check in was a disaster

We booked the place a few weeks in advance. We arrived to find the owner hadn’t made arrangements/reserved it for us until that day. The listing said room is available at 3pm. We arrived at 3pm and couldn’t get into the room until after 5:30pm. We couldn’t settle in and get changed for dinner, it was frustrating. Next time I will reserve a room directly through the hotel, not vrbo.

Total disaster!

I booked on 6/15 and paid in full for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit at one of our favorite resorts in South Lake Tahoe. On 8/3 The owner messaged on the morning of check in to confirm our party size so she knew we were coming. 8 hours later after we had already driven over 400 miles she messaged that she was cancelling our res and “sorry for the inconvenience”. This is peak vacation time and there wasn’t much availability. I was on the phone with VRBO for hours and ultimately had to book 3 different properties to salvage our vacation. I then had to submit all the paperwork and am still waiting for confirmation that VRBO will provide the financial reimbursement that they claimed they would to cover the first 2-3 nights of alternate plans. I wouldn’t be allowed to cancel the day of check in or actually at all after booking and paying 2 months prior. This owner should be banned from using the VRBO site and VRBO needs to process my claim quickly and send me the money I am owed. This was a very stressful way to begin a vacation - not merely an “inconvenience”. I want to be able to trust booking with VRBO in the future but that will depend on how the rest of this process is handled.

Fantastic Location and Lodge Service

The Marriott location is fantastic. Just steps from the Gondola. The condo 2-room suite had plenty of room for 4 people. The kids had their own beds in the second room. The living space was great for watching the basketball game and playing board games. CONS: I am VERY disappointed in the parking situation. Valet parking is the only option, but it is not properly staffed. Sunday morning, I called for the car 15 minutes before we were planning to meet, and had to wait an additional 30min. There is a board at the front that shows valet wait times, and there were 10 cars in line to be fetched. When I asked the valet, he told he me he was the only person working the booth, yet he was taking time to have a chatty conversation with a drop-off. Completely unacceptable, as there were 3 of us waiting for our cars to head to the airport. Don't cut your valet request close on time!
