About Alison Vaissiere

I bought this very special home in 2002 and set about restoring it ensuring that we retained its period features. It was a wonderfully exciting time, breathing life into its massively thick walls and creating a home full of character and charm.

At that time, an eminent landscape gardener cast his magic wand over the grounds to create a simple, yet sophisticated garden with topiary to give it structure, lavender to give it perfume and wonderful green grass for family enjoyment. Ancient olive trees and cypress complete the beautiful provencal environment.

The work was finished in 2003 and our lovely home has since seen many happy holidays for our family and for many others.

Why Alison Vaissiere chose Luberon Area

The property has unbeatable charm, ambience, outstanding views, fabulous location and Bonnieux, one of the prettiest villages in the Luberon, just over 2 kilometres up the hill. It couldn't be bettered!

What makes this farmhouse unique

When I saw the beautiful walled courtyard which offers complete security, I knew this was the place . The views through the stunning archway to the garden and infinity swimming pool just set the scene for us. And then the larger vista over the vineyard towards Mont Ventoux is exceptional. Much TLC has gone into creating Mas des Vignes Folles and it has been enormous fun in making such a very special home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Having stayed at Mas des Vignes Folles for the 2nd time, this beautiful villa never fails to delight me. It is perfectly appointed in the heart of the Luberon valley, within a stone’s throw of pretty Bonnieux. The generous use of spaces throughout the home lends itself to the makings of an idyllic holiday and we certainly had that.

Gorgeous holiday property in beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful, relaxing week at Vignes Folles with the family. The pool and garden and surrounding views are stunning. Brilliant to have the tennis court and pétanque to hand. Loved the house, the pretty courtyard and the different outdoor eating areas. Very comfortable living space, attractive bedrooms and super kitchen too. Much to do in the area - the house is very well situated. Hope to return one day!

Wonderful vacation home......immense charm.....very clean......well-equipped.....fabulous location!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent three weeks at Vignes Folles. While the update to the baths & kitchen were a number of years ago now, all work very well, and the house has tons of charm - not to mention the best location in the Luberon. The house was very clean (not something you always get), and feels like an authentic French mas - which it is! The kitchen works well for a demanding chef, and the shower in the master is very good on pressure and loads of hot water. The pool area and grounds are fantastic. Peaceful and quiet location. Good wifi and Internet phone. We'll be back!!!!
