Ideal mountain escape. This is a true mountain cabin with all the atmosphere you would expect. A-frame chalet style hide-a-way nestled in the trees on a quiet cul-de-sac street with no through traffic. Close to everything yet feels miles away. Just a short walk to ski lift, golf course, wildlife zoo and hiking/biking trails. Less than a 5 minute drive to shopping, dining, nightlife, boating, swimming, fishing and much more! There is even a fenced yard area for your four-legged companions. After enjoying a day on the slopes or one of the other endless choices of activities and entertainment that Big Bear has to offer, relax in front of the large wood burning fireplace, watch the game or a favorite DVD on the large flat screen TV, grill something delicious on the deck BBQ, watch the kids sled ride outside your window or take a relaxing soak in your private hot tub.

This well maintained cabin is three levels. The upper level is a very cozy loft bedroom with a queen bed that is screened from the living area below by built in closets and feels like a secret tree house hide-a-way. The middle level is the main living area with living room, dining, kitchen, den and full bath. The den has a queen futon and can be used as a 3rd bedroom. There is a sliding glass door to the large deck surrounded by trees and with a view to the slopes and mountains beyond. The lower level is the master bedroom with a king bed and private bath. There is also a laundry room with washer and dryer for your convenience. There is a deck off the master with a very private hot tub that is also accessible from the main level deck. All bath and bed linens are provided and the entire cabin is meticulously cleaned and sanitized for every guest. There is off street parking for 2 cars and room for your boat or OHV trailer as well.

Cozy little getaway

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was great for our short getaway to Big Bear! We loved getting to sit on the deck in the mornings and enjoy our coffee and watch the wildlife. The hot tub was amazing and was a nice relaxing end to our days. We loved walking around The Village and enjoyed the alpine zoo. We definitely recommend staying here!! Kerry and Sheila were very responsive to our inquiry and Lysa was great help for any questions we had!!

Wonderful Stay in a Cozy Cabin

  • 4 of 5

I booked this cabin as a surprise getaway for my husbands birthday. The cabin is located on a very peaceful street while still being close to the zoo, grocery stores, trails, golf course & ski lift. When we first arrived we noticed how clean and comfortable the cabin was. Our 2 1/2 year old twins and dog, loved exploring the back deck and attached fenced yard. I had been a little concerned about the steep stairs for my toddlers and dog, but they were not an issue. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, they even had a bundt pan for me to bake a birthday cake! We had a wonderful time eating meals on the back deck surrounded by trees, soaking in the hot tub, grilling (gas grill), and watching movies by a cozy fire. Only disappointment was not being able to connect to WiFi while we were there. We weren't able to ever get the network and password to work. Kerry was wonderful to work with--answering all of my questions. We made many happy memories here this weekend with our little family and look forward to returning soon!

Clean cabin, peaceful location and excellent owner

  • 5 of 5

We will definitely be back! The owners are very responsive, friendly and easy to work with. We were super disappointed the jacuzzi was broken, but the owner tried to make things right. The property manager Lysa was friendly but didn't return calls so make sure you keep calling if you need something. Cabin was very clean and comfortable and in a quiet, peaceful locatiob. Other reviews already mentioned the wolves howling (awesome!) and the steep stairs (my dog hated it so he stayed on the middle level with the living area). A great value.

Definitely Recommend!

  • 5 of 5

This was my second time at this cabin and I enjoyed as much as first time! It is in the perfect location and a close drive to everything. The price is great for what you get, a comfortable, cozy cabin. As noted by other reviewers the stairs are difficult for dogs, either going down to Master or up to loft so be aware of this. Otherwise I would recommend to everyone and already have to my friends. One of the best things is the owner Kerry, he is so nice and generous and a pleasure to deal with.

Nice and Cozy

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time staying here and we love it! The large master is secluded downstairs with its own private bath and private door right out to the spa! Large open deck on the main floor that overlooks the mountains with a peek-a-boo view of the ski lifts. We were able to bring our dog who was able to stay outside when we would go to town. I do want to mention that the stairs are steep so families with small children or pets need to keep an extra eye out. We have a large dog and she was hesitant to go down at first but then got the hang of it just fine. There is a small gate going downstairs to the master but I recommend bringing a baby gate for the upstairs so your little toddler or pet wont go wandering up. Overall it is quaint, relaxing, and cozy. You cant beat the price!

The cabin was super cute and cozy, but spacious. The master bedroom was huge and everything from the bathrooms to the kitchen to the bedding was really clean. I'm kinda weird about cleanliness and that was never a factor here. We stayed an extra night and they were really accommodating. The only thing you could even consider a drawback is that the dogs refused to go on the stairs due to the fact that they're kind of steep, but other than that they also loved it. This place is perfect and we will definitely be back.
