About this property
Architectural Lighthouse
Pineplace Lights is a uniquely designed elegant architectural lighthouse designed by architect Mark Ruhle. It was his vision that each space is unique. Therefore you will find each room a comfortable delight eliciting different senses and feelings.
Pineplace Lights is nestled in the deep pine woods of Orrs Island Maine overlooking historic Lowell's Cove. Come experience the essence of Maine which inspired artists such as Andrew Wyeth and Winslow Homer as well as the children's book 'The Whale in Lowell's Cove.' Walk to the nearby beach to lounge in the sun and to enjoy the salty air. Afterward, enjoy a fun evening of dining and relaxing at various local restaurants or just stay in and cook your own meal in our carefully equipped kitchen. At night you will sleep deeply and soundly in our comfortable beds, the sounds of the cove a lullaby.
You can share many happy hours with your family and friends while sitting on our wide deck which catches the sun of the day and the breeze off Lowell's Cove. Almost every room in the house has a spectacular Cove view. There are 6 bedrooms and seven decks. There is a large backyard that includes an acre of Pine Forest. There is a small secluded studio in the woods. Kids can use it for a hangout. Adults can paint, write, read, or just meditate.
Choose to spend your vacation at Pineplace Lights and you will never regret a moment. It is an experience that will give you memories that will last a lifetime.

Why they chose this property
Our family came to Orrs Island for the first time in 1980 to visit friends. We fell in love and have returned over and over again. Eventually we needed our own space. Mark Rhule architect helped up design a house that would support family and personal development retreats.
What makes this property unique
What I love most about Orrs Island is the deep rest and rejuvenation I experience when I am here.
