About the owner: Ann Thompson Fabricant, a native Southwesterner, is the founder of 'Cocopah', Arizona's oldest bead store located in Tlaquepaque in Sedona. She is also an author and used the advance money from her first book, The Organic Baby Food Book, to fund the start-up of Cocopah. 'Cocopah Cottage' is the historic house where she raised her son. This year she opened a second location, a salon/studio/consignment gallery called 'Cocopah North' in Creekside Plaza, across the street from Tlaquepaque. She is also at work on a trilogy of novels about the complex and changing realities of the new west.
Why the Owner Chose Sedona, AZ, USA:
I love this house and have so many good memories of my life there. I needed a large space for my expanding business but did not want to sell the house as I may eventually retire there.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Located at 325 Smith Road the unique feeling of being immersed in 'old Sedona' is almost transcendent. As Sedona evolves into a fast lane resort town, this house recalls the bygone charms of the early pioneers. It was lovingly crafted for a family to spend their life there, not a thrown-up condo or contractor spec house designed for profit only. Also, you can walk to all shopping and restaurants in five minutes and within fifteen minutes by foot, you can be on a hiking trail in the National Forest.
