I first discovered Gulf Shores in 1990 while attending a conference and immediately connected with the character of the small coastal town. What began as a single visit turned into years of returning for vacations, even when traveling with two golden retrievers made finding suitable accommodations a challenge at the time.

In 2002, I purchased Nauti Mermaid with the intention of creating a true home away from home, one that welcomed well-behaved pets and offered the kind of comfort and care I struggled to find as a traveler. I moved into the condo in 2005 and lived there until marrying my husband, Tim, in 2007.

That same year, we founded Gone Coastal in Gulf Shores with a commitment to professionally hosting guests who appreciate a well-maintained space, clear communication, and a respectful, pet-friendly environment. Since 2007, we’ve been welcoming guests with a focus on thoughtful details, consistency, and creating a stay we would choose for ourselves.
