The property was exactly as described and the owner was a great host. Highly reccommend for someone who wants to fish or just get away to a cozy cabin for a weekend.
Thank you for hosting us; my friends and I really enjoyed the cabin. There is a lot of great fishing in the driftless and this property was an excellent base camp for us. Will reserve again if possible.

Jeff,
Thanks for staying! Really enjoyed talking to you and loved the trout pictures! We look forward to having you back. Thank you so much! - David Z
We stayed 2 nights over the 4th of July. We loved the cabin and had a lot of fun. The owners are amazing and were so helpful and communicative! There is one downfall of the property and that’s that there is no central air, only 2 window AC units and considering we stayed when it was over 90 degrees it wasn’t ideal. The customer service and amazing cabin did make up for that issue.
From check in to check out, best hosts we have ever stayed with!! Easy communication, easy check in and out! A welcoming gift, beautiful surroundings, we enjoyed our stay!! Thank you so very much!

David was awesome and if we ever come back we will for sure be staying here, it was quite and all by it’s self. Thank you again for letting us enjoy your cabin.

The property is beautiful and accommodating. All the basic needs and amenities were provided. The house was clean and comfortable. David is a great host, he gave us recommendations for fishing spots and even had a couple six packs waiting for us when we got there. Checkin and out is streamlined and easy. I’d definitely come back.

Breen, thank you for the kind words and for staying at our Log Cabin! (And thanks for the great picture of that giant trout!!) we look forward to having you again! Thanks, David Z
This cabin is perfect if you’re looking for a secluded cabin in the rural area of trout and hunting country. The cabin was very well appointed with what you’d need to live off the grid for a bit. And I reached out asking if certain cooking supplies were stocked and what they didn’t have, they made sure to have there for me, so I could cook my husband his requested birthday dinner. David was super responsive and even offered us some little known fishing spots nearby. Would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I stayed for an extended stay while we were in town visiting family. The property owner and managing staff were the epitome of Midwest kind. These guys communicated everything with us perfectly and I felt like family by the time I left. I can’t say enough great things about them. They catered to my every “need” ie. rescuing my husband and dogs when they locked themselves out of the house. They allowed a family cookout which was awesome there was 15+ of us. They allowed our dogs to stay which I’m so thankful for. These guys were just amazing!!
As for the cabin itself, while this may be an outdoorsmen’s paradise don’t leave the family behind! This cozy cabin would be a great getaway for any family looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s tucked back in the woods so there’s plenty of seclusion and privacy but their are plenty of beautiful family farms sprinkled all about the ridge with you, great for those of you looking to take in the beauty of the dairyland. There are also lots of Amish “shopping” in the area. The cabin really was perfect for us and beautifully located in the bluffs of the driftless region. We definitely look forward to coming back!
