About Sandra and Michael Fisher
A big hello to our guests from Michael and Sandra. Here is a little info about the proud owners of Paradise on Daniels Pond, aka Terrapin Station. We both were born and raised in the beautiful country suburbs of Phila, Pa, Michael in Chester Springs and Sandra in Yardley, and we are both grads of Penn State. Go State! Although we did not know each other until 2003, when the wonderful internet then brought us together, yes it does work! While building Terrapin Station, we would stay at the enchanted Inn on the Common in the picturesque town of Craftsburry Common, VT. Here we became engaged and then off to the chapel on the Common to marry in 2006. We now reside in our Pa dream home, a restored farmhouse circa 1812, in the quaint town of Birchrunville, with our 2 goats Templeton and Archie, our 3 cats Curious, A.J. and Chi, and of course the kids-young adults, Alexander, Connor and Taylor. And yes Michael is a long time fan of the Grateful Dead and Sandra, the Rolling Stones. .

Why Sandra and Michael Fisher chose Glover
Ahh, Vermont. The beauty of all that nature has to offer at its best! We both were fortunate to experience the wonders of Vermont in our earlier years. Michael's first entre to the Kingdom was in 1978, with one of several visits to the renown Bread and Puppet Theater in Glover. Wanting more of this beautiful state, Michael moved to Waitsfield from 1982 - 1985, working at Sugarbush, loving every moment. Sandra's first of many visits was in 1980 with her childhood friend who grew up spending summer and winter vacations at their lake house near Rutland. Skiing Killington, Okemo, Magic, bushwacking, water skiing, skating, hiking and loving it!. On to the year 2005 when we were ready to find our second dream home. We had Vermont in our hearts and knew that our desire to have serenity, beauty, privacy, the wonders of nature, and year round outdoor activities were all in this beautiful state. So we went for it and began the search and found our piece of paradise on the internet, and in Glover, where it all began! Yes, the internet has been good to us. At the time the property was a rough clearing with a foundation on 55 wooded acres, with an unbelieveable view of the water and mountains, and 1800 feet of shoreline, just absolutely beautiful. Feb of 2006 our dream home was ready. The first knock on our door were our pond neighbors Linda and Arthur, who welcomed us and offered their hospitality and to stop by anytime. This is what the people of the Kingdom are all about. In 2010 we were ready to offer our home to others to be able to enjoy this magical place. The Kingdom is One of the Most Beautiful Places in America. We are very thankful!

One of Our Best Vacations!
My family plus another (4 adults and 4 kids total) just spent a wonderful week at Terrapin Station. It was unanimous - we all loved the house and NE Vermont. The house was clean and furnished very nicely and very comfortable. it was "move in" ready when we arrived. All beds are made. Lots of towles provided. Little amenities like laundry and kitchen detergent, paper products, fire wood and games, etc. are all provided too.
The property itself is beautiful and well maintained. We canoed many times each day and fell in love with the pond life - a beaver, a pair of loons, geese family and even a big brown hare jumped through the yard a few times. We explored all the little towns - shopped at Willy's in Greensboro for food and cheeses. We checked out Hill Farmstead Brewery (of course brought goodies home from there). The bike riding was great - day tripped it to Kingdom Trails in E. Burk. For all serious Mt. bikers, this is a MUST! Also hiked the Willoughby Lake Gorge and White Mts. in New Hampshire (about an hour drive).
The owners were gracious and attentive. Thanks to them for sharing this lovely home. I would defintely recommend this house to other families and plan to return sometime hopefully soon.
We know we say this frequently, but we are so thankful for you to have experienced the magic of Terrapin Station and the "Kingdom"! As you said "it was unanimous, we all loved the house and NE Vermont". That is what it is all about and what we strive for, to make Terrapin Station your home and for there to be all that you need to enjoy, for the very special young ones to the wonderful grand parents. How awesome that you also experienced so much of the Kingdom's beauty and attractions. This is why the NEK is so deserving of being on the list in "1000 Places To See Before You Die"! Thank you so much for sharing ""One of Our Best Vacations", with us and for the gracious compliments.
Have a wonderful summer and we look forward to having you back!
Warmly, Sandra and Michael
We want to thank you for sharing your wonderful vacation home. We had a great time. As city people we don't get to enjoy nature like we did this weekend. My kids for the first time put their devices down and actually enjoyed doing things outside. My son loved fishing, he had a great time. I was also impressed how you thought of every detail to make the home comfortable. You had everything we needed for cooking. The house was very clean and organized. One of my favorite places so far. I hope to be able to do this again and this will be my go to home. Location was perfect and the house was just beautiful. ~ Robert & Beatriz
Wonderful and spaceous: Great for any season
We spent 7 nights, including New Years Eve at this amazing property. The house is modern, spacious, and has fantastic views. The garage was very convenient in dealing with winter weather. Wonderfully secluded but still driving distance from major resorts and less than ten minutes for gas and groceries.
Fantastic Christmas holiday
Everything we needed was there, enjoyed the open fire every evening and sooooo much snow. Very impressed on how warm the house stayed with such low temperatures outside.
Let me start by saying that this place is amazing!!! My family of 4, (2 adults and 2 kids, 7&9) stayed here for the Thanksgiving holiday. The kitchen is very well appointed and we had everything we needed to make a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner. The views are breathtaking and the location is private and serene. We were lucky enough to have it snow while we were there, and the kids had a blast sledding with the provided sleds from the basement(they really do make sure you have everything you need there). The garage was stocked with firewood and we made use of the fireplace every day.
The house is immaculate, and definitely was the cleanest vacation home that I've stayed at.
Working with the owners was a pleasure, they promptly responded to all of my questions prior to booking and even called to make sure we had everything that we needed when we arrived. We are very GRATEFUL for our stay at Terrapin Station and can't wait to return. Thank you Sandra and Michael.
Wonderful retreat in an idyllic setting
Our family of 8 (3 generation group, including a 3 and a 5 year old) had a wonderful time in this property in Glover, VT! The house is well-stocked with supplies, all you have to do is bring your personal and food items. The beds were very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels for everyone.
We stayed for 5 days - it snowed mid-stay so we were able to enjoy playing in the snow with the sleds in the basement. Fun!! And oh so lovely.
The owner, Sandra, was responsive throughout my inquiry and planning phase, and made it a point to check in with once we were there to make sure we got settled in okay.
We stayed mostly in the house except for some meals and grocery trips, and a day trip to Stowe and Ben and Jerry's. They have a large grill as well if you don't mind barbecuing in the cold. We also enjoyed the fireplace a few nights. It was very relaxing, especially when paired with hot chocolate
I would have preferred a king bed in the master's room (because our kids like to migrate to our bed at some point in the night :)), but other than that, everything was great!! The house is spacious and very well laid out, and the background can't be beat.
