About Tony or Ron

I am a 30 year retired public school teacher living on the island with my three rescue dogs. I purchased my primary home ten years ago and have been in love with the island ever since, thus prompting me to purchase Cottage on 14th street. The property owner/manager is a Galveston Certified Tourism Ambassador and can help you with many historical facts and questions and point of interest on the island.

Tony or Ron purchased this house in 2006

Why Tony or Ron chose Galveston

The opportunity to restore this historic cottage so that I could share with others the same feeling I wake up to every day.

What makes this house unique

Walks on the beach, the great weather, historical land marks great events, shopping and most of all the friendly islanders.

Adorable!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 7 year-old daughter, and toy Chihuahua couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations. The location to the water, shopping, restaurants, and site-seeing was perfect for a week of relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals (minus the groceries). We grilled burgers in the backyard and took full advantage of the deck and outdoor shower after days at the beach. The full sized washer and dryer made it that much easier to enjoy ourselves, saving us from doing laundry for days when we got back home. Thanks Ron and Tony. We'll definitely be back!

Great place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

This was our second visit to Cottage on 14th. It feels like home! The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen has everything to meet your needs. We grilled fajitas on the grill outside. A/C works great. We definitely plan to stay again.

Cute blue cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was in good shape for being built in 1878! LOL! It was clean and completely furnished. We brought our 2 fur babies and they enjoyed running up and down the stairs. We couldn't figure out the TV remotes so Ron came right over to help. I was really pleased with this cottage and Home Away was user friendly. Would highly recommend this property.
