This lovely vacation condo is 1300 spacious square feet of elegance with a huge wrap-around lanai that guarantees outside comfort. Our condo has two private suites (1 king bed, 1 queen bed) with their own full baths. Each suite has lanai access to enjoy the tropical scenery. A fully equipped kitchen and large living room with a third full bath along with full size laundry facilities create the perfect vacation retreat that quickly feels like home.

Car: Not Necessary
There is a public transportation trolly availble that travels from the Kailua Village to Keauhou Shopping center with many stops in between and it can be caught at the Royal Kona just across the road, there are several botanical gardens, coffee farms, historical tours and luaus, the Kailua Village often has live intertainment for free in the evenings on the boardwalk
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: Jerry Geissler, and Mike and Paula Schnarr are proud to offer their condo for your use. Mike and Jerry are retired firefighters from California who also happen to be pretty handy at construction work, having built several homes on the mainland. When our condo was purchased, it was completely original from the date it was built. Our remodel work started with the removal of everything from the condo. It was stripped to the bare concrete walls before we started the rebuilding process. Even the old 'popcorn' ceilings were stripped, and all ceilings and walls re-textured and painted. Custom cherry cabinets for the kitchen and all three baths were ordered and shipped from the mainland. All bath tub surrounds were stripped and refitted with new tile. A large, custom shower was constructed for the master bath. While Mike and Jerry were busy with all this construction, Paula and Janine were in full shopping mode. They selected solid teak for most of the furniture. New towels, linens, bedspreads and curtains were also procured. The kitchen outfitted with new cookware, dishes, silverware and small appliances. We wanted the condo to have a very Hawaiian feel to it, but we also consciously avoided the usual pure white walls and bamboo furniture that is seen in many condos. All of our colors, textures, and furniture was hand picked, one piece at a time. Although the girls did most of the work selecting all this stuff, Mike and Jerry were instrumental in the selection and installation of the 42' flat-screen TV. We hope you will feel instantly comfortable here, just as we do when we come.
Why the Owner Chose Kailua-Kona, HI, USA:
The Kona Pacific complex is an undiscovered gem on the Kona Coast. Many of the condos that we considered purchasing were of wooden construction, and poorly maintained....and it showed. Kona Pacific is a refreshing change from that. It is constructed completely of concrete, and meticulously maintained. I suspect it looked much the way it does now when it was new. So, we were sold on the quality construction, perfect maintenance, and the manicured grounds and pool. Pride of ownership shows all over this place. The second thing that attracted us to the Kona Pacific was the perfect location. It is far enough from the breaking waves to be peacefully quiet, yet close enough to get a good ocean view from the lanai. It is a short walk to a great little sandy beach with showers, bathrooms, grass and shade. A short walk north leads you to the Historic Kailua Village. Being able to walk to amenities and entertainment is priceless.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
One of our favorite things to do here, is walking to the village. In the morning, you can't beat KONA coffee and breakfast while overlooking Kailua Bay. Huggo's on the Rocks, and the Lava Java are our favorites, and two of the first places you come to on your walk. In the evening, a short walk across the street will take you to the Royal Kona Resort and is one of the bests places to watch the sun set. One of our fondest memories is sitting at the Royal Kona, sipping on a Mai Tai and watching the cruise ships sail off into the sunset....literally. Sometimes when we can't decide what to do for dinner, we just walk into the village to see what looks good. There is always something going on at one of the eateries.....somebody will have two dollar mai tais or other specials that are always a good place to start. Then, you can walk further down Alii to find a good place to eat. The historic Kona Inn has fabulous ocean view dinning. They have a formal dining room, and a seating area near the bar that offers more affordable, quicker fare. After dinner, it's time for ice cream and a stroll. There are countless little ice cream and shaved ice shops in the village. We still haven't found them all, and they all have their own unique flavors. It's the perfect way to end your evening before heading back home.
