Fabulous cottage in super location

Sara and Craig's cottage is stunning. Picture perfect in a great location on the edge of the forest. We had a lot of space even for our family of 5 and 2 friends. It was very well appointed with everything we needed. The welcome gifts and fresh eggs were a lovely touch.

Excellent New Forest stay

The property was very well located with easy access to all the main New Forest attractions. The house was clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen. The welcome gifts of wine and fresh eggs were a lovely touch! We’d have appreciated hairdryers in the bedrooms and a dustpan and brush for the kitchen floor, but those were minor points. The garden was peaceful and secure for small children, but a bit small for older ones to run around in. The visiting chicken and dog were very entertaining, but we didn’t see the peacock! Overall, we had an excellent stay and would recommend the property for a stay in the New Forest with family or friends.

Hi Hannah, Thanks for your review. Sara and I are really pleased you had a great stay at Woodcutters and enjoyed your holiday despite the weather! Thanks for your feedback re: hairdryers! There’s 2 going in today and the dustpan and brush is under the kitchen sink, but sorry if you missed it. The garden space is a great place to relax and be outside with the sun on the garden all day. Luckily the forest with huge open areas is just a short walk away so ideal for families with children that want to burn off some energy. Unfortunately the peacock has very recently met with a fox and I’m really sorry if you were looking forward to meeting him. He was wonderful and it’s quite sad that he’s no longer with us. We’ll update the Cottage details to reflect this. I’m really pleased however that you enjoyed meeting our speedy chicken. He’s quite a character and we’ve honestly never had a chicken like her. We brought her as a Warren but I’m sure he’s crossed with something - potentially an Indian running duck! You were lovely guests, and I’m really pleased you had a great stay.
