The cottage is furnished with your comfort in mind, including a leather couch and beds so comfortable you will be reluctant to get out of bed. Your first cup of coffee watching the mist from the lake greet the morning is a special time to be shared with a loved one or a great time for a little solitude.
There's a window bed especially designed for enjoying both the view of the fireplace and a panoramic view of the lake. Great spot for reading or napping.
Friends can sit at the eating bar and supervise the chef or join in the food preparation. Gathering in the dining area with the window seats is a fun experience with room for everyone. Dining on the deck overlooking the lake in the summer is delightful.
There is a bedroom on the main level that includes a sleep number bed that adjusts to your particular comfort level. The linens are Egyptian cotton with comforters to add to your pleasure.
The main level bath includes a shower with a massaging shower head.
Upstairs you will find a comfortable queen bed and a twin with a view of the lake and trees that feel like being in a fantasy treehouse.
In the loft there is a Swedish style sofa that converts to a comfortable queen. There are wicker chairs with plump cushions and an oak table for playing games or writing. If you are in the mood to watch TV or a movie there is a 42' flat screen, satellite and a DVD/VHS player and a collection of movies. Wireless Internet is also available.
The upstairs bath includes a shower and a jetted spa tub for just that little touch of luxury you seek. Thirsty, thick towels add to the experience. Pamper yourself and enjoy a glass of wine with your soak.
The sound of laughter and squeals of delight are the familiar sounds of a lazy summer day. Swimming in the lake or just lounging on a floaty toy are a great way to spend a part of your summer day. Lemonade or cocktails on the deck add to the enjoyment.
The winter months bring their own magic. Sitting by the fire watching the wildlife on the lake, reading that favorite book, or just spending time with family bring special pleasures.
On this little island paradise, it's like stepping back in time to a slower, gentler lifestyle. There's golf to be played, hikes to take, fish to catch, walks, bicycling, lots of exploring, keep your binoculars handy to help identify birds, otters, raccons and other wildlife.

About Terry Brown
We come to the island from Oregon so a stop at the famous Olympia Farmers Market is often part of our experience. We love stocking up on fresh-from-the-farm vegetables, fruits, meats and fresh seafood. Bright bouquets of flowers often make their way to our shopping bags. A walk along the harbor is also part of our ritual. Boarding the ferry is always the signal, on so many levels, that we are transitioning from our busy lives to 'island time'. The 20 minute ride is filled with the anticipation of being back on Anderson and to our cottage by the lake. We have furnished it with care for comfort and just a little whimsy to delight our guests. Anderson Island is close to Seattle and all it has to offer, yet a world away. The island is peaceful, has a real sense of community, and abundant natural beauty. A haven to re-balance and refresh one's life. Please be our guest and enjoy your time on the island.

Why Terry Brown chose Pierce County
Anderson Island is unique among Puget Sound islands. Life on island moves at a slower pace and very family friendly. In summer there is boating, swimming fishing hiking and biking. In winter it is extremely quiet and so relaxing to sit by the wood fireplace and look out at the lake and watch the waterfowl and bald eagles that frequent the lake. Anderson Island is a place to relax and enjoy family time or couple time.
What makes this House unique
Early morning solitude watching the lake, having that first cup of coffee and hearing the house come to life as friends and family wake to the day's adventures is a favorite time. Catch a trout or bass without leaving the yard. (requires WA fishing licence)

Beautiful view of the lake
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The cottage was perfect with that nice homey touch so missing in a hotel.
My daughters stayed in the cottage and really enjoyed it. My husband had heart surgery so we couldn't make the trip to the island for our nephew's wedding.
Nice time had by all.
Nice house. Enjoyed our stay. Fire pit a plus. Good park down the street for kids. Really liked exploring the Johnson Farm.
Beautiful cottage in the best location!
I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was at the Lakeshore Cottage. We were 5 adults visiting for 5 days in July for a wedding. And what a lovely time we had. The space in the cottage worked perfectly for us...we never felt cramped. The kitchen was well laid out with everything we needed and the spacious dining table offered more than enough room for us. The beds were also incredibly comfortable and the view of the lake was spectacular as I drank my coffee on the deck every morning. Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!!! If I had to leave 1 negative comment it would be that I wished there was a canoe or row boat that we could have used since we were on a lake. Fishing from land was all we could do and that didn't really work out for us. It would be great if there was some place we could rent a boat on the island but that's not an option. So even with this comment it was still unanimous, we all had a fantastic time and we were all quite sad when we had to pack up and leave. If we ever make our way back out to Anderson Island, we will no doubt book this cottage again.
Love the island, love the lake and loved our stay in this cozy house.
It was so cozily decorated. The mornings were beautiful to sit with my coffee and enjoy the quietness of the lake. The kitchen was fully equipped with any item you might need. Will be back with my children and grandchildren. They loved it and were in the water a lot and my grandson fished the whole time. Thank you Terry!
Serene relaxing but you can hike and do water sports
Gals week end catch-up. Perfect!!!
