About Vacasa, OR - Mt Hood / Hood River Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Collins Lake Resort

  • 4 of 5

As a mountain biker this area is one of my favorite place to go to. The area has so many places near by to ride. I stay at Collins lake resort ever time I visit this area. Unit #138 was extremely clean and the view of Mt Hood was magnificent.

Great location, decent condo

  • 3 of 5

The location of this condo can't be beat. It's a quick walk into the town of Government Camp for all you need, from groceries to dinner. The condo itself is nice but not very well stocked in the kitchen. So if you're expecting to cook a large meal you'll need to bring all your own spices, sharp knives, and maybe even a saucepan or two. The stove is newer and heated up quickly and cooked evenly. The beds are really comfortable, it sleeps 6-8, and it was clean as a whistle when we got there. I appreciated all the blankets and towels. The walls are fairly thin however, so the wedding party going on next-door was rather loud. It also doesn't have any kind of a view off the back deck, just a rock quarry and perhaps the home of some future construction. The pool is great, well-maintained, and the kids really enjoyed that as did I. Overall it was a nice place to stay but not spectacular.

lots of fun for Spring Break.

  • 5 of 5

it is a 'new' condo complex and it has the benefits, and drawbacks of that. There is some noise from your neighbors, but to be expected. The place is nice, with plenty of room and well supplied. The hot tub and pool and proximity were the reasons for choosing this location for this trip. we were happy with the choice. Had a great time.

Updated, Clean, Great Floor Plan

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this condo for 3 nights mid-week (2 adults, 2 kids). It was great! The condo is well-equipped with everything you might need from toiletries to dishes. Everything is updated and functions well. It has a huge garage, which is super convenient for storing skis, suitcases, etc. The hot tub and pool are super nice, and just a 1 minute walk away.

Great location, noise issues

  • 3 of 5

We've stayed in several places at Collins Lake. This one was very clean and well furnished. The location is great, especially when there is enough snow to sled on the hill behind.

The major downside for me was the fridge; it had a high-pitched noise that was nearly constant. With a fully open floor plan, noisy kitchen appliances are a big deal. The dishwasher was also extremely loud, but we managed to just run that at night. Neighbors could get loud too, but all the Collins Lake places have that issue.
