About Vacasa, OR - Mt Hood / Hood River Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Nice place, but problems

 • 2 of 5

Nice place, great location. Expensive fees, toilet was broken, shower drain was clogged, wifi setup email instructions were incorrect and had to figure out how to set up wifi ourselves.

Vacasa room 138

 • 1 of 5

The room maintenance was in very poor shape although the basic design was nice. If attention is paid to cleanliness and maintenance this could be a nice accommodation for guests. A better way to supervise and monitor the maintenance crew is needed. Rates and policy needs to be in line with Collins Lake Resort policies.

Collins Lake Resort

 • 4 of 5

As a mountain biker this area is one of my favorite place to go to. The area has so many places near by to ride. I stay at Collins lake resort ever time I visit this area. Unit #138 was extremely clean and the view of Mt Hood was magnificent.

Great location, decent condo

 • 3 of 5

The location of this condo can't be beat. It's a quick walk into the town of Government Camp for all you need, from groceries to dinner. The condo itself is nice but not very well stocked in the kitchen. So if you're expecting to cook a large meal you'll need to bring all your own spices, sharp knives, and maybe even a saucepan or two. The stove is newer and heated up quickly and cooked evenly. The beds are really comfortable, it sleeps 6-8, and it was clean as a whistle when we got there. I appreciated all the blankets and towels. The walls are fairly thin however, so the wedding party going on next-door was rather loud. It also doesn't have any kind of a view off the back deck, just a rock quarry and perhaps the home of some future construction. The pool is great, well-maintained, and the kids really enjoyed that as did I. Overall it was a nice place to stay but not spectacular.

Dissatisfied

 • 2 of 5

Unfortunately our unit was not clean. We found food on our bed, the remote didn't work. Dirty dishes in the cubbard, and Vacasa didn't respond like they promised over the phone. Dishwasher was loud. It is unfortunate.

Amazing view

 • 2 of 5

The view is amazing and beds are so comfortable! I had a two week stay and had to wash all dishes by hand because dishwasher doesn't work and I had to buy some pans for baking! Super poorly stocked kitchen! I recommend if you stay in this unit you bring your own dishes and pots and pans!
