The home was very clean & properly supplied. Dr Koura was very quick to respond to any issue that arose. Me & my bridal party were comfortable & enjoyed the claw foot tubs in the baths. A nice bonus is the private little deck & yard in back! Thank you Dr Koura!

Thank you Jill for being pleasant, polite, and perfect guests at my home. Thank you for staying and come again!
Close to zoo . Communication with owner was great. Table was very smsll for a group of 7. No tv which is did not say there was one. Didnt care for tubs at all. Plenty of sleeping room. If you are only going to sleep there and be gone rest of time it is a great place. Kitchen could use a very more dinner ware but we managed. Overall it was a enjoyable stay. Very quite neighborhood.

Thank you Kendra for staying at my home and being good guests. It is a new set-up and purposefully designed to be a minimalist rental. The listing states all that is available and present in the home. There is not a TV and the listing does not state there is one. Sorry you believed that you would find one in the home. Most guests entertain TV and movies via their electronic devices. The photos are very accurate to the listing. The photos of the kitchen only show two chairs. Sorry you expected to find more than what was actually shown and listed. It is my plan to get outside furnishing for the hot STL summers. Perhaps, guests may wish to eat on the back porch, since it is roomy enough to hold more guests outside.
The neighborhood is sketchy and didn't feel safe. The house has NO showers. There appears to be water damage that was painted over and looked like mold growing. After looking at site, we locked the door and left. I called VRBO for support in getting out of contract, but no support was provided. I feel like the house is misrepresented on your website. Shame on VRBO for allowing this place to use your brand.

would not recommend
I would not recommend booking this place. The neighborhood is not quiet as stated in the listing, my group heard gun shots multiple nights in a row as well as it is right down the street from a drug house. A lot of the lights for the main rooms do not work so it’s hard to see once it gets dark outside. A few nights before we left one of the alarms just beeped every minute loudly up until the day we left. When pulling the sheets down to lay down on the beds we heard stuff falling off the sheet's so I’m not sure if they’re ever washed. There is no shower just two very dirty tubs( they have brown stains and one even had a persons hair all over in it) with no shower curtains at all and you would have to hold the shower head if you do want to use shower. There was also bugs all over the floor and sheets which I mentioned to the host and he didnt care at all and claimed the cleaner “must have missed that” Overall I just don’t think this place will accommodate anyone regardless of how often you’re planning on being at the property. I wasn’t that concerned when booking it because it was just a work trip and we aren’t ever at our places long enough but to eat and sleep but this place was hard to even sleep and shower at would highly recommend spending a little extra money for a place you will actually feel comfortable and clean sleeping at, I definitely will next time.

Rachel’s review is xenophobic and exaggerated. Please ignore her bias rant. For the amount she paid to stay at my home and for what she received far exceeded the expectations. Rachel has felt a need to review my home poorly because of her poor spirit and bitterness for not having her request for a refund granted. Had Rachel taken the time to read the listing properly perhaps she could have gone somewhere else to better suit her make-believe needs. As stated, the home has two bath tubs. These bathing concepts do not require a shower curtain because no rod is present on the tub. Of course, photos of the tubs are shown on the listing to provide visuals. Rachel did not see these either, just as she had not read any of the details of the listing. However, she looked very hard to find evidence of an excuse to complain about nothingness in my home only to find two dead insects behind the toilet stool. As I explained to her the home had been recently sprayed and the handyman failed to discard them. Interestingly, Rachel states that some of the lights didn’t work in her review but never informed me about an issue during her stay. Rachel and her crew created an electrical concern and never informed me until now in her cruel review. Rachel’s security deposit should have been charged but I spared her out of pity. Rest assured Keur Koura is cleaned professionally and is very safe. Please note that all bed sheets and linens are thoroughly cleaned and pressed for each arriving new guest. Don’t let Rachel’s negative review deter you from your chance to have an authentic experience in one of St. Louis’ most centrally located and very affordable short term rentals.
This listing is intentionally and blatantly deceptive. The few exterior photos are strategically angled to hide the true condition of the neighborhood, which is severely blighted and unsafe. The surrounding houses are crumbling and appear uninhabitable, something completely omitted from the listing.Within minutes of arriving, we heard what sounded like automatic gunfire nearby. When I raised legitimate safety concerns, the host dismissed it and accused me of lying.Because of this, I had to leave immediately and secure alternate accommodations at my own expense. I then spent over 2.5 hours on the phone with VRBO across multiple calls just to get a full refund for what was clearly a misrepresented property. VRBO ultimately agreed, but it should never have required that level of effort. This listing withholds critical information about the surrounding environment. Do not rely on it to reflect reality or make an informed, safe decision.

I strongly disagree with this characterization of my property.
The home is accurately represented, professionally maintained, and located in an urban area of St. Louis, which is disclosed in the listing. As with any city environment, surrounding properties may vary and are not within a host’s control.
This guest never addressed any of these concerns, upon checking in. I found no evidence to support the claims described. I host many guests without issue, and their experiences reflect the quality and safety of the home.
I encourage guests to review all listing details and location context prior to booking to ensure it aligns with their expectations.
