A dream house

  • 5 of 5

We just stayed a week (June 2017) at this lovely home. An extended family of 9 of us--grandparents, 4 kids, 3 adults visited. We had ample room and the grounds were beautiful. Enough room for everyone to have space. Bathrooms are updated and big. House is laid out very well for privacy and big groups--3 bedrooms up and 2 down on main level. Also, my sister used garden house bedroom. Comfortable beds, great a/c in bedrooms. We ALL loved the pool & Nathalie was a dream! Nathalie was just a delight to work with, as was Karen--as we had tours/dinners/groceries all planned for us. Whether it's bringing baguettes everyday or giving us directions to Marseille airport--everyone, especially Nathalie, was so helpful. We wanted to bring Nathalie home with us after the week!

We took day trips to Aix, Loumarin, Cassis, Wine tours...Enjoyed a hike up St. Victoire mtn. We even visited the Villages of Automates down the road with our 3 younger kids. Yet, still enjoyed a couple of days just staying by pool and walking around the grounds. Flowers and landscaping just beautiful! Chef Ronald & Geraldine were so warm and friendly.

It is the countryside--so be aware that there's bugs in June and you are very privately, remotely located. It was also very hot in June. However, everything within a 30min, 1 hour or 2 drive, and once you find the house--it's a great location.

Well worth it, and hope to book it again! A dream!

Idyllic Villa Fontaine

  • 5 of 5

We spent an idyllic summer in Provence at Villa Fontaine. From the park-like landscaped grounds, to the lovely but comfortable living areas to the chef designed kitchen, it was experience to savor.

The promixity to Aix, Avignon, the Luberon Villages and Cassis on the coast provided plenty of opportunities to explore but one hesitates to leave the relaxing and beautiful Villa. From days by the pool, to shopping the weekly markets in Aix, Gordes and St. Remy - our days were filled with happy experiences with family and friends.

Nathalie, the house manager and conceirge, was ever present to ensure all ran smoothly during our stay - from ensuring the continuing beauty of the house to providing tips for tours and restaurants. She is outstanding, considering every aspect of your stay and is quite thoughtful regarding your needs.

A Michelin starred chef is available (if you book far enough in advance) to provide memorable, delicious evenings in the home.

Lucky you if you are able to book Villa Fontaine. You are in for a wonderful, treasured experience.

Perfect home to experience Provence

  • 5 of 5

Eight friends rented the Villa Fontaine and we all just loved our stay. It is a beautiful, clean, elegant home. Relaxing at the pool, pizza party, cooking in the fabulous kitchen, it was just perfect. Nathalie was such a help to us directing our forays into the countryside. We wished the internet worked, but maybe that was a blessing!! It is hard to find but, once you do, it is hard to leave.

Perfect Provence Trip

  • 5 of 5

A group of 10 of us traveled from the Metro DC area to meet up with friends who had recently moved to France. We were there to celebrate several 50th birthdays and friendship. The house was just a it was pictured on the website and even more beautiful in person. Many nights were spent next to the pool or at outdoor living space next to the pool. We did take advantage of the opportunity to have a sommelier and private chef come in on two separate evenings. Paul our sommelier was from Great Brittan and was well traveled with knowledge of both American and European wines. His 12 tastings from different regions adjacent to the Rhone River were delicious. The following night Chef Ronald came in to prepare a 4 course meal for our 50th birthday celebration. What a treat that was! He prepared an amazing meal for all of us...and the truffle au-gratin potatoes, were to die for! The other nights, we used the expansive kitchen which allowed us to cook some fast and easy meals with clean up being a breeze (for 12 people) with 2 dishwashers and 2 sinks!

The house was perfectly located to have wonderful day trips to a new place every day. Nathalie our concierge extraordinaire could not be more accommodating with her time, energy and suggestions on where to go.

It is a perfect place to share with good friends or family. Thank you again Karen and Terry for opening up your beautiful home to us and allowing us an adventure that will not soon be forgotten.
