The community lands offer more than five miles of hiking, snowshoeing & x-country skiing trails in addition to the private acreage owned.
The Space:
Celebrate New England Hearth Life! Snuggle in front of a roaring fireplace with views of pristine Berkshires forestland, relax with a game of cards, board games, a great book, or catch up on your favorite streaming shows while enjoying serenity, total privacy, and nature in all its glory - not a single other property or home is visible. The living room includes a large, plush leather couch, two comfy chairs, two poufs, a large hearth/fireplace, high-vaulted ceiling, and a gorgeous rug for warmth - all furniture and accessories are *brand new.* The room includes chess and backgammon sets, board games, and a large flat-screen TV with wifi connection for streaming. The living room looks out on an expansive lawn, a rolling goldenrod field where butterflies dance and towering hemlock trees.
This open-concept kitchen with stainless steel appliances makes entertaining easy. There are views of woods in every direction including above sink. Breakfast bar seating for three, and a beautiful wet-bar/island that seats two, make preparing meals fun. Coffee lovers will enjoy the 12 cup drip coffee pot.
There is a dining area with seating for up to eight guests to enjoy those home cooked meals.
There are a total of two bedrooms to accommodate guests during your stay, for easy planning here are the bedroom layouts:
-The first level of the house features the master bedroom with a queen size bed and infant pack n’ play.
-On the second level you will find a bedroom with two queen beds.
-In the loft area on the second floor you will find a twin daybed.
-Children may be comfortable sleeping on the sofa and/or pull-out chair in the main room.
There are two full bathrooms. The master bath ensuite on the first floor has a shower/tub with sliding door. The upstairs bathroom is a standing shower and a new vanity.
Continue to enjoy the fresh mountain air outside as the log cabin sits on 13 acres of verdant forest biodiversity. Guests can enjoy a large open grass lawn (perfect for frisbee, touch-football, picnicking or even small weddings), at night, the sky dazzles with stars, and the grounds twinkle with fireflies. During warm months, the lawn is framed by a goldenrod field that fills with butterflies. A short path connects the lawn to a small pond that is fed by a babbling brook and surrounded by tall hemlock, oak, birch, and beech trees. The brook connects to a second small pond, also on the property. Perfect for meditating, yoga sun salutations, or simply taking in the forest sounds of croaking bullfrogs, rushing water, and wind rustling through tall trees. The ponds are filled with wildlife: salamanders, frogs, minnows, tadpoles. It's even possible to ice skate (at your own risk) in winter. There is also a magical treehouse (for young visitors only). It's possible to never leave the 13 acre property, but the home is also part of Becket Woods, a community that includes access to a swimming pond with sandy beach, playground, picnic gazebo, clay and hard tennis courts, basketball court, and five miles of trails for hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing.

Our stay was very cozy. The kitchen was well equipped with all your cooking needs, the host was very communicative, and the place was in tip-top shape when we arrived. One thing to note - the road getting to the cabin was very muddy, and you have to drive very carefully if it rains or has precipitation on it. Definitely recommend this place to future guests!
Inside of the house is very well maintained and clean.Outside could cleaned up some.Very secluded and peaceful place which is why I came backLoved it there
Beautiful spot. Really appreciated the low key, easy check out instructions. The bathroom sink has a sewage smell, but otherwise everything was perfect!
The cabin is cozy and absolutely beautiful. We had everything we needed for a a relaxing stay in The Berkshires. Thanks for the comfort and welcoming hospitality.
The cabin was easy to find and was nicely set back in the woods which provided quiet and wonderful stargazing. Cabin was as described and close to hiking, shopping, and dining. Our dog enjoyed the large yard, and we enjoyed getting away from it all.
The property, cabin were perfect.
Loved that is way "away" from everything, meaning surrounded by woods and nature. It was exactly what I was looking for and can not wait to return for another stay.
Beautiful cabin in private setting with views of nature and the stars. Spent a long weekend here with my wife and our dog (yes, pet friendly) and we could not have asked for a better experience. Home is beautiful, the hosts are amazing, and the property (whispering pines, wooded setting, pond and babbling brook) is an escape not to be missed. Would highly recommend, and we hope to return again sometime soon.
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy private retreat and hope we get to come back. The canton was as advertised- very private with a beautiful view across a wide (and for us, snowy!) yard and into trees, large wonderful fireplace, kitchen with everything we needed, and comfy bed. While the place is private it is also an easy short drive to lots of good local stuff, like hiking, groceries, and nice dinners out in Lenox, etc. The hosts were very responsive but not obtrusive! A perfect getaway.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
This is a very nice cabin, clean and well maintained. I would have given this higher marks had it not been for issues we had with the heat. We stayed in early October and needed the heat for chilly nights, however, the heat did not work, leaving us to sleep in sub-60 degree temps. We communicated with the host who seemed on top of the issue and who asked for a photo of the thermostat (it was set properly). Unfortunately, that was the last we heard from the owner and used the fireplace to keep warm the next night, which was okay but smokey even with the flue wide open. Everything else was great about this cabin and the grounds and pond are great for a walkabout. I would recommend this cabin but would warn about the heating and the abrupt end of communications by the host. Some closure would have been nice even if nothing could be done during our stay.
