Flexible Cancellation! Storyteller Cabin Deck Firepit dog friendly!

Storyteller is located in the heart of Wears Valley. Wears Valley is the gateway to the Smoky Mountain National Park, Pigeon Forge, Townsend and a short drive through scenic mountain roads into Gatlinburg.

Our cabin is privately nestled on 1.5 acres in Cove Mountain. WE ARE NOT LISTED ON CRAIGLIST. ITS A SCAM. There is plenty of private parking on our driveway. In just about any seat on our wrap around balcony, you will experience the breathtaking panoramic view of The Smoky Mountains. Enjoy the sounds of nature and you may catch wild jack rabbits, raccoons, and can spot a bear around too!. The smell of fresh mountain air and pine will relax even the most stressed city slickers. Our cabin is pet friendly with owner approval. A non-refundable pet fee applies for pet rentals.

Built in 2005, Storyteller makes a perfect retreat for the entire family or group of friends. With a sofa-bed in the living area, we can accommodate up to 8 ADULTS. TVs and DVD players are located in every room. You will enjoy the fireplace and our movie collection if you stay in any night. All TVs are equipped with cable. We provide everything you will need to cook up your Tennessee meal in our kitchen. Roast marshmallows in our gazebo around a built-in gas fire-pit and share a story or two! You'll love sitting out there drinking hot chocolate in the winter months while the firepit warms you up!

The game room downstairs has a billiards table, wet bar with built-in fridge. Watch your favorite game on TV while you battle it out for the Storyteller billiards championship; we have had all-nighter tournaments! After a long day sightseeing in the Smokies or shopping at the Pigeon Forge outlets, relax and soak up in the outdoor hot tub which has a open view.

Stay with us and you also get a personal travel planner; we will provide you with all the best attractions, restaurants, and activities. For the bikers, the local Harley Davidson shop is just 11 miles from our cabin in Pigeon Forge on light #3. If you prefer to fly n ride, you can rent a motorcycle. Just ask us and we will be glad to provide all the details. Go skiing/snowboarding in Ober Gatlinburg or Cataloochee (Maggie Vally, NC). Explore Cades Cove, Tuckaleechee Cavens, Clingman's Dome, or gamble at the Harrah's Casino in Cherokee, NC. Ready for some thrills, go white water rafting. The Biltmore Estate is also a short drive away. They have a great winery and Estate tour. Just ask, we will give you great travel ideas during your stay with us!

We love dogs and allow them in our the cabin with a pet fee. Please include breed and weight at booking. The cabin is smoke free, you may smoke outside provided that you pick up after yourself ; no buds on the lawn or anywhere else please. No fireworks allowed.

Charcoal BBQ outside in patking area with cover if you want to enjoy some backwoods mountain air bbq. Bad weather? Stay in and watch one of the many movies from the video collection or log into your favorite streaming channel!!

Lets start with Angel and Mabel they are simply amazing check in was smooth as it could be after talking to both Angel and his wife is was like we became friends for the cabin views were amazing every night we sat on the deck just enjoying the quiet everything you need was provided and new plenty of games for the kids loved the dvd collection also like that there was no cabin next to ours the wi fi worked perfectly also a tv in every room cabin was spotless when we checked in plent of stores not far from the cabin pool was beautiful and we all loved the hot tub thank you again Angel and Mabel

Clean with beautiful mountain view

Cabin was perfect. Enough room for everyone to have own space. Close to attractions yet far enough to have the peaceful mountain views that make you feel far away from civilization. Cabin was exactly as described and hosts were flexible. A few weeks before checkin my son and his dog were not able to make trip due to deployment. The pet deposit was refunded quickly no questions asked. 100% recommended and we cannot wait to come back in the cooler months.

Best Cabin on the Mountain

Cabin and stay are even better than described. The kids loved every bit of their vacation. A Mama bear and her cub came for a stroll a few times. Hot tub, smores, pool table. Beautiful view! Love that this cabin has a yard for the kids to play. Would definitely stay again.

Great Location!

I was a little worried after we had booked the cabin that it was going to be a hassle with traffic tying to get to the LeConte Event Center for my daughter’s dance competition BUT it was perfect! The drive was a straight shot and traffic wasn’t bad at all. Overall, we’d say the location is great to experience the mountains but not too far away from everything! The view on the deck was nice! We enjoyed coffee out there every morning and had 2 bears walk through the yard on our last morning, which was a highlight! We ate breakfast and dinner at the cabin every day and it had everything we needed. The owners were wonderful and responded immediately with any questions we had.

Great mountain view!!

Time away with great friends. Quiet, relaxing, peaceful. Lots to do, when we were out, peaceful and beautiful at the cabin. Hot tub was a great amenity, washer & dryer also.... all the comforts of home too, our stay was amazing!!

Beautiful view, clean and comfortable!

Cabin was clean. All of the beds comfortable and the view was beautiful. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and enjoying the view. Cabin is nicely furnished with what a family might need/want. Our family enjoyed both the fire pit and hot tub. Owners are very responsive to messages throughout the rental experience from the beginning with questions I had. This deck and view are what I go to Pigeon Forge for!

Quiet with a BEAUTIFUL views

Angela was a kind to work with! The cabin had a great layout and so inviting and homie! We cooked most meals at the cabin and had all the utensils and appliances we needed! We want this to be an annual trip to this very cabin for years to come! We have a 2 yr old who traveled with us and he LOVED the toy box! Our dogs also thoroughly enjoyed the yard and deck! There are other cabins close but the location is very secluded with beautiful veiws both morning and night! I could have stayed for another week!!

Winter Vacation

we wanted to stay somewhere that would have all we needed and would be in close proximity to the National Park, and we are so glad we picked StoryTeller Cabin. We had a wonderdul stay and it was the cleanest VRBO I've stayed in. Everything was just as pictured.

Amazing cabin and owners!!

Beautiful cabin and views!! Winter storm hit the next morning and we weren’t able to leave to go do much but the cabin had games , a hot tub and had sled boards to use with the snow down the driveway along with a pool table to keep us occupied and the owner kept in touch with us throughout the snow storm along with finding someone to bring us food/water when we ran out and couldn’t take our car to go get some ourselves, our pups also loved it, would definitely recommend this cabin to others and hope to be back next year!

Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay! This cabin was easy to find, and exactly as pictured. We had an issue with the fire pit and the owner had someone out the next day to fix it! Great communication with the owner. The cabin had everything we could need! Only complaint was that the bed sheets in the upstairs bedroom had a few stains and when we got there, there was hair all over the pillow case.

Cabin was awesome. Location was beautiful. Had everything we needed. A small plumbing issue on the first night that was promptly addressed the next morning - Angel and Mabel were terrific to deal with. Would stay here again without a second thought!

Nice place to stay when in Pigeon Forge/Townsend Area. NOTE: The room pictured as a childs room with trundle is no longer the set up. This was disappointing as it really was one of the inital draws to the property. We made do. The layout is good for a larger family group. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay.

Why they chose this property

We have enjoyed coming to the Smokies for over 22 years and worked hard to finally purchase Storyteller. We remember the realtor taking us around town to see cabins but the minute we walked into Storyteller, we were hooked. The gazebo is what gave us the idea to call the cabin Storyteller. Our families were used to gathering for hours on end and telling stories about life, funny moments, and stories they wanted us to remember and pass on.
