Why Cassandra Casino chose Woodland Park
We have named our home 'Woodland Park Retreat' (WPR) and are offering it for rental to help us keep it for our future retirement.
What makes this House unique
Imagine a vacation where the only things you hear are the birds, a gentle breeze in the trees, and nothing but peace. Our beautiful, 2,200 square foot, three-story Woodland Park retreat is set in three completely private, tranquil, aged pine and aspen acres of high Colorado mountain woodland.

Nothing Lacking for a Peaceful Family Retreat
This was our second time staying at Woodland Park Retreat and it was just as lovely this time around. We were pleased to note that comfy mattress toppers and pillows had been added since our last stay, and all the amenities worked perfectly. My kiddo loved sledding by the swing set and exploring the play house. This house is stocked, cozy and in a beautiful location to soak up the forest around it. We hugely appreciated the plowed driveway - 4WD was a must to get in it this trip with a foot of snow on the ground! Thanks again!
Spacious house & quiet property
Family of 6 enjoyed this property. Lots of space and quiet area. Enjoyed the deer, wild turkeys, howling with the wolves and the hot tub!
This vacation home was perfect for a relaxing getaway for our family. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The surrounding scenery was very peaceful being surrounded by the woods, and we really enjoyed seeing deer and turkeys right out the front door every day. Would definitely come back and stay here!
The perfect place to have a real Colorado mountain Cabin experience
We had an amazing time spending thanksgiving here. The kitchen is complete with everything you need. Also the grill outside is perfect! The house is very well maintained and the hot tub is just a major Plus to the whole experience.
The kids (and also the adults I confess) loved to see the deer just outside the kitchen window for 4 days in a roll. Also squirrels, wild turkeys, and plenty of birds.
Try to get here with daylight to get used to the entrance driveway, because is a very secluded place (worth every penny).
I also leave a suggestion to visit the Cheyene Mountain Zoo. A special place with plenty to see.
Overall, it was amazing being here!
Perfect weekend get-away
Another great weekend getaway for our card playing, fun-loving group of family and friends! Comfortable accommodations for all and room to spread out and relax. The hot tub was a welcome "extra" for our aging group and the newly redone decking looks and feels really nice. Thanks again for sharing your little piece of heaven just outside Woodland Park! See you again next year!
We stayed at the cabin for 4 nights the middle of September. It is very beautiful and peaceful with lots of pine and aspen trees. The cabin is exactly as pictures show and we loved how the deck is built around the trees. We enjoyed the hot tub and watching the sunset behind the mountains. There are neighbors that you hear, but never see.
The directions should state that you turn right on CR 79 as it was dark when we arrived and we drove right past the turn looking for Spruce Road. Otherwise, the directions are very easy to follow. We enjoyed our stay at your cabin and look forward to coming back one day.
Woodland Park Retreat is near Manitou Lake, eight miles north of Woodland Park 'City Above the Clouds' about 30 minutes drive towards beautiful Pikes Peak Mountain. The drive is easy and beautiful past the famous red rocks of 'Garden of the Gods', through high alpine meadows with scenic mountains all around. Whether you wish to hike, fish, bike, sight see, enjoy tourist activities, visit antique or western stores, go to a Casino in Cripple Creek, the Woodland Park area has it all...from peace and quiet, glorious scenery, fantastic welcoming folk to non stop tourist enjoyment - a week is not enough!
Golf: Just minutes away from the retreat is the beautiful Shining Mountain Golf Course.
Ski: On the slopes of Breckenridge, you’ll hit four peaks’ worth of world-class skiing and snowboarding, not to mention the highest chairlift in North America. Beyond the runs? Signature winter parties, distinctive shopping, an award-winning arts district and locally-made libations await. After all, Breckenridge delivers on diversity. Founded more than 150 years ago by prospectors in search of gold (and they found it), Breckenridge still attracts travelers in search of adventure.
