About Coralie Kupfer

Our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents, Owen and Florence Kupfer of San Gabriel, California, were original owners of Hale Pau Hana. They loved everything about Maui from the people and the history, to the white sand and blue surf. Kihei was just a tiny town when they first came here. Wailea did not exist and was just kiawe groves. The airport was so small they put your luggage around a banyan tree for pick up. The unit is now owned by Kupfer children and grandchildren, all of whom love Maui and wish you a pleasant stay.

Our family has always loved the ocean. Hale Pau Hana gives us the chance to enjoy a world-class beach surrounded by queen palms, Hawaiian flowers and dense tropical foliage. Many of us have honeymooned at Hale Pau Hana. We love the good friends we have made among the other owners and guests. The spirit of aloha surrounds our Hawaiian home.

What makes this condo unique

We enjoy snorkeling, swimming, exploring, reading by the ocean and sunning. We like learning about the sea life and the culture of the islands. We know we are relaxed when 'polynesian paralysis' sets in. The panoramic view from this top floor unit is unparalleled. Most of all we enjoy relaxing on the big lawn and chatting with the good friends, owners and renters that we have met over the years. Many of the same people have been renting our unit for 20 years or more. Most people who stay here are return guests.

Home away from Home

We have been vacationing in Hawaii for a number of years, have been to all of the islands. We have rented several different condos in different locations on Maui. We are getting a little older and the last few years we have stayed at the Hale Pau Hana. For us this is the perfect condo and we have no complaints.The wife likes to walk the beach in the mornings, we like to snorkel and go out for our evening meal. Unit 702 has a wonderful view of the ocean for whale watching and daily from the lanai we see turtles swimming.

Snorkeling is great right out front or within a short walk. Tide pools for grandkids are close, between Kamaole beach 2 and 3. The grass area between the condo complex and the beach is great and coffee is available mornings at 10. There are many various restaurants and dining choices within easy walking distance.For us the Hale Pau Hana is the place to stay on Maui and Unit 702 has been an excellent choice, we hope to return in 2018.

The perfect get away.

We are just home from two weeks at this condo. To give you a clear appreciation of how much we enjoyed it, we spent the last few days trying to figure out if we could return to it next year for three weeks.

Coralie made the transaction seamless and the entire booking process was done with a few emails. The contract and instruction package was great and offered easy instructions and clarity.

On arrival (we arrived very late, 11pm) stopped at Safeway for a days worth of groceries and arrived at the Hale Pau Hana about midnight. The instructions were clear and we were standing on the lanai within minutes looking out at the ocean. It was a gorgeous unobstructed southern view through a few palms.

Though the unit could sleep 4 it was just right for the two of us. The unit was exactly as pictured, the kitchen quite newly done and had all the small appliances you needed as well as utensils et al. The rooms nicely appointed and the bedroom great with air conditioning, which was welcome as we had 2 weeks of 88-92 degrees and the wooden blinds kept it dark. The bed comfortable and ensuite a nice feature. The main shower was a very nice size and all bathrooms as well as the rest of the unit were clean.

The morning view was grand, looking out at Molokini Atoll, watching the surf and the turtles feeding on the reef.

Sunsets and moonsets were incredible.

As far as location, the Hale Pau Hana was perfectly situated for restaurants and shops.

We were totally enamoured with the condo and location, it lacked nothing.

Beautifully maintained and stocked condo

This was our seventh trip to Maui and one of the nicest Condos we have stayed in. It was so clean, well stocked and just as advertised. Coralie was so helpful and wonderful to deal with. My husband is handicapped and this unit was very accessible. He spends a lot of time in bed, so our biggest missing thing was a tv in the bedroom. Also he need a/c and we could not make it come on. For me it was absolutely wonderful. Watched awesome sunsets almost every night. I would recommend this unit to anyone. We love visiting the Shops at Wailea and love Kihei. One trip to Lahaina each visit is all we need. Thank you Coralie for a wonderful stay. Bummed that we really saw no whales for sure the entire three week trip to four islands. Thought we might have seen a couple but they were near Kaholawe and Molikini and could not be sure. Understand why you love visiting so much. As usual, I cried when leaving Maui.

PS I did my best to leave as nice as you left it for us....it was a home away from home.

Amazing!!

My wife and I were in a pinch because the place we had previously booked had a plumbing issue the week before we were leaving on our honeymoon!! I looked on vrbo and found this amazing unit!!! The owners were so accommodating and friendly. They gave us a great list of restaurants and activities to do. The condo itself is awesome. They have all the amenities that you could possibly need. The place has been completely updated ( I saw some of the other units in the place and this was by far the best). The views from the 7th floor are stunning. If you're looking for a place in Kihei to stay, then this is it. Everything is walking distance too from the cinnamon roll place to Cafe au lait (which are across the street). Thank you again for all of the Aloha Coralie!!!!

Location,Location,Location

Counted over 15 whale spouts one evening at sunset in first part of February. Walked a mere 75 ft to the water to cool off, boogie board and swim. Watched the sunset from our lanai with a MaiTai in hand and pupus on the table. Very comfortable condo for two people with excellent amenites. In the center of Kihei and a few blocks north of Wailea without the Wailea prices. Simply marvelous!

great experience

This truly was an oceanfront paradise. The view was beautiful and we really enjoyed the condos design and decor. The kithen had everything we could want and we enjoyed being able to barbecue by the pool. Being able to walk across the street to shop and enjoy the restaurants was very nice. Traffic noise was not a issue. The grounds are very well maintained and being able to walk up and down the beach in either direction was spectacular. We would highly recommend this property and hope to be able to come back some day.
