We are so very sorry that you did not have a good experience. If you were experiencing problems with a drain, we wish you would have notified us. We would have had a plumber to the house asap. We find it strange that you feel the washer was old and out dated. The washer had been replaced with a brand new one during our 2nd guest stay this summer, before your stay. It does have an agitator, if that is what you feel makes it "out dated", however it is brand new. VRBO, told us we were not allowed to charge you for the damages because you bought insurance and we had to wait too be reimbursed from the insurance company. You also left out that you lost a kayak. When you called and told us you forgot the key in the home, it was getting late and you had small children in your party that allowed for very little time for us to get you help. We called the sheriffs department, several tow truck companies and lock smiths. No one was able to help quickly at the time of day. One of the house cleaners was cut several times cleaning up the glass that wasn't even somewhat cleaned up. We only ask that guests wash their towels and dishes within the home upon departure. This was stated in the rental agreement that you signed. Our cleaning crew handles all bedding and cleaning inside. However, your party pulled out the extra sets of sheets and had them tied in knots causing the crew to have to wash the used sheets and the extra clean sheets. This, along with the glass cleanup, was a lot of extra work for our cleaning crew to handle. Especially since there were more guests checking in the same day. There isn't and never was a lawsuit, and VRBO has never contacted us aside from saying we had to wait for the check from insurance. We did personally hide our property for some time after this season because we were trying to decide if we actually wanted to continue to rent out our home that we love so much. You were our first experience with guests that had issues with us and our home. We value all our guests and take great pride in being personally available to our guests during their entire stay. This is very obvious from the reviews of our other guests. Again, we are really sorry that there were issues with your stay and do hope that overall you were able to have precious time with your family.

Wish the lake would have been back to normal for you. We have reduced the nightly rate, for all guests this summer because the lake is not how it normally is. Glad the fishing is still going strong!
