We were lucky enough to spend a spectacular spring week here. Every day, the view seemed just a little different. We loved sitting out on the porch enjoying the area come alive (pro-tip: if you like to blow bubbles, this is your place). This home is so well stocked—you know that feeling when you arrive late in the day to a rental and immediately head out to the store because there’s maybe 2 ketchup packets in a drawer and a quarter-roll of 1-ply? Not this home. This home is ready for you. Everything you need for cooking, stocked bathrooms, even welcome candies and water bottles in the fridge. Sheets are so soft, there are more towels than I have at home, and they even have robes hanging in the closets. You feel like a guest not a renter. The house is private and soooo quiet, other than the occasional train horn, which I loved hearing. We had deer, groundhogs, and even some sassy wild turkeys looking in the bedroom window one morning! Communication with the owner is excellent and prompt—they even send restaurant recommendations! And yeah, you want to go the restaurants—we had some wonderful meals in both Hudson and Catskill. Caution for anyone with mobility issues: there are 3-4 steps to get in, and the staircase to the downstairs area might be a challenge. All in all, this is a lovely place to feed your soul (and your belly—I’m not kidding about those restaurants!)
